Man, if there was ever a thought about replacing Mougenel, last night would have been a great time to do so. Blowing that big of a lead late in the game. I attribute it to two things - playing a small set of players way too much throughout the game so in the crunch they just don’t have the umph needed to finish strong, and playing the wrong guys in the final minutes, ie Brazeau.
It's such a weird situation. You have the Bruins selecting the coach and the GM, and stocking the roster, but a separate owner. Do the Bruins care about whether the PBs win? How much does J. Affred Prufrock care about winning and butts in the seats and to what extenet does he have influence on what happens? Are the Bruins asking Mougenel to do what he is doing in terms of development, ice time etc. and are happy with his decisions because it fits their bigger picture goals?
