Providence Bruins General Discussion thread ‘24-‘25

Don't know bout you guys, but I don't really need to see more of Patrick Brown, Cole Koepke, Vinny Letieri or even Johnny Beecher. With a 2.4% chance of making the playoffs, and a 14 game audition period, can we please see what Merkulov, Lysell and Farinacci can do with meaningful minutes and talented line mates?

It's negligence to be trotting out depth retreads when we need to see if the Providence kids can stick.

For me, it’s not even “seeing what you have”. It’s the entertainment factor. Give me a reason to be excited to watch these games.

If you’re gonna lose anyway, let’s watch a kid or two make some mistakes and MAYBE some skilled plays here and there. See if you see any improvement from game one to game six.

The prospect of seeing Mittelstadt and Khusnutdinov (and to some extent Lauko again) was my incentive to watch the Bruins play after the deadline. Not changing a single line combination even after the debacle of the Lightning game? I just don’t get it.

And the optics of selling off huge parts of the team and not even giving these Providence guys a sniff?

They are letting Lohrei fumble his way through the entire season. I've seen him cough up pucks that end up in the back of the net time and time again. So why are we playing out the string with Patrick Brown when you've got a former 1st Round Pick that, at the very least, needs an opportunity to rehabilitate his value in the NHL?

My guess, they feel the evaluation is over and the answer is what we see, B`s don`t feel he`s an NHL talent, I disagree totally with that assessment but....this organization needs to loosen the strings on the insistence that all 12 forwards need to be Selke contenders

My thinking is leave your prospects in Providence and see what they can do for the remainder of the season and the playoffs . More ice time and a better chance to develop

I think management is good with players that make the team worse for the rest of the season.

how`s that Minten kid without the puck? Not looking for a Selke finalist but does he appear to have a clue where to be on the ice without the puck in his own zone?

I just don't understand why they wouldn't just bring up Georgii and Lysell and Matty P again.

These kids are the future one way or another. See what they can do with big minutes and constant NHL games.

I don't want to see Letteri out there. Let the kids play. We have to see what theyve got. Now is the time
My guess is the brass don`t want to expose them to nightly scoreboard beatdowns? I dunno, who the hell can figure out what Sweeney and Neely are doing?

The so called have had their shot, sorry fans they are not that good, Donnie probably does not want damage whatever value they have left anymore, just in case there is a team that might want to take a shot with any of them.

I disagree Minten and Poitras will be wearing Bruin uniform's next season. Lysell it is time for you to shine in this year's Playoffs in the AHL. Merkulov think he will end up going overseas , Just not enough talent at his size to make it to NHL. He has to shine by season end . He is the only one of the four the Bruins should consider bringing up

At this point, get Korpi two more wins for 300. I don't care if they win anymore. It won't help them. If I were a season ticket holder on the other hand.....

Good to see that defenseman prospect Ty Gallagher is headed for Providence. If he gets ice time I’d appreciate any thoughts on his game and roughly where he fits in the prospect ranks.
