The Quiet Corner
I don't care how much Poitras is scoring in the A. Until he's stronger & learns to keep his head up I don't want him in Boston, he'll just get hurt again & possibly shorten his career. He's what, 20 years old and has already had major surgery on one of his shoulders.

He's a rare commodity for the Bruins- a draft pick who can score & make plays. Bruins should be thinking long term w/r/t Poitras.

Pasta played 75 games and had 34 goals at 20. I agree that Poitras put himself in bad positions to get creamed. I'm not really sold that him learning to avoid that in the AHL or the NHL is much safer. It's not like we are talking OHL vs NHL. It you want to mitigate risk, maybe wait until closer to the TDL to bring him up.

AHL is a more physical league still compared to the NHL. Poitras should be centering the third line with Frederic and either Wahlstrom or Coyle on RW. I still want Coyle moved but if they can't or won't move Coyle try to get something out of him as a wing. Poitras should also be on the second power play unit, he has skill and guts, get him up to Boston.
