Dallas did keep Stankhoven and Bourque down until the TDL. It’s not just a Boston thing.

Yeah a lot of teams do it, especially successful ones. I was responding less to bringing up one and more to all three. Even two because I think Wahlstrom gets a solid chance to show what he can do. So they send down McLaughlin to accomodate Wahlstrom? I guess Johnson is a candidate, so that would be one. Who else do you think the Bruins would risk on waivers to bring up a second prospect? I can't think of anyone.

Hopefully a trade or 2.

I certainly Hope Johnson will be waived as soon as they return to Boston. Absolutely no reason to carry 14 forwards.

Yeah let Whalstrom play a couple games and then waive Johnson if it’s not a disaster.
Not even sure we need to wait. I feel like McGlaughlin outplaying him has already made him expendable. If Wahlstrom doesn’t work out then Viel, Tufte and others can battle for the 13th spot while Poitras, Merk and Lysell compete to earn an opportunity higher in the lineup with plenty of candidates to displace starting with Geekie, Braz, Beecher, McGlaughlin and Frederic.

You waive Johnson, and send McLaughlin done. At this point I'd keep Marc up because he has earned it. Johnson should absolutely be waived.

Probably Johnson, and leave it alone if they are interested in banking any space towards the TDL. According to Puckpedia they have just under $200k in space which translates into a deadline accumulation of ~$550k. So Johnson gets waived to create a little more space, and if they want another one from Prov, someone else will go. Or, maybe they don't care about banking cap this season.
