Providence Bruins practice rink is usually Providence College though in the past it's also been the 146 rink which is an absolute dump
P Bruins biggest draw after the City itself was that after 90% of the games you're able to sleep in your own bed, huge positive with guys with families
Hey I used to play at the 146 rink (they showed adult movies at the drive in across the street back then). Who needs hot water in the showers or decent locker rooms. Soft!

That rink has always been a dump going back to the late 70s

Bruins win in a shootout
Strong game from DiPietro
Merkulov still in a fog
Completely unimpressed with Lysell in OT

This is the first time since his draft that I’ve felt concerned about Lysell. Doesn’t sound like puck luck from what I’m reading… What are your thoughts/observations?

He's not as good as he thinks he is,that's number 1
My issue with OT last night was he looked to have a step on a defender twice and instead of going hard to the net, he peeled away, that was cowardly Lion stuff
for the alleged next guy up he certainly hasn't made it indisputabley his

Any chance that is a product of all the "he is too selfish" and "he doesn't use his teammates" and "he tries to do too much and turns the puck over too often" critiques? I don't disagree that I would like him to be more assertive at times but people (not saying you necessarily) complain when he tries to make plays on his own and then they complain when he defers to teammates other times.

Haven't seen much of Providence Bruins this year so far. Seems like a tough start for Riley Duran and Brett Harrison at least prodyction wise. Had high hopes and some expectations for a break through for them and what about Jackson Edward. Is he injured or been scratched lately??? Seems to be mainly AHL veterans on the PBruins scorecard.

I feel like Duran is the kind of guy who might score 8 goals in Providence this year and get 12 with the Bruins next year...he's not scoring goal scorer goals. He'll be fine if he's forchecking, cycling and throwing some occasional hits. I can't imagine he'll be much more than a 4th liner who can hopefully kill penalties, bring honest effort consistently and maybe occasionally do the dirty work on the 3rd filling in for a injury. Not a knock, I like him and I've seem some occasional skill but I think that's what they are hoping he'd realistically be.

Harrison's lack of production doesn't bode well as I am not sure he brings anything else.
