And still am
Still high on Harrison? I remember years ago when he was drafted you were pumping his tires pretty good when he was still playing in Oshawa ... seems to have turned the corner development wise no? What are your expectations? 3rd line threat ceiling?

Glad to see him taking the next step... didn't play a whole lot last year, let's see what a whole year getting playing time turns him into....I like the trajectory so far this preseason

Process with him has been slow and steady. Thought he was good in the Prospects Challenge, rookie camp and main camp. Time for him to take the next step and he is trending that way.

If he reaches his ceiling he is probably the 4th or 5th best prospect in the system.

His absolute highest ceiling now? Low end second liner.

Viel is a good AHL scorer not just enforcer.

-- I don't mind Harrison getting a look higher in the lineup but Lettieri-Merkulov-Lysell had some good chemistry two seasons ago so I wouldn't be surprised to see them reunited at some point.
-- If I remember correctly, Lambert played well in the (short) playoffs last year but I'd swap him with Brown. Duran's play picked up once he was paired with Brown last year.
-- My guess is Viel and Abate will rotate in & out of the lineup as the nightly shit stirrer. I don't think you need both playing at the same time.
-- Kuntar-Farinacci-Pitlick has the potential to be a solid line.
-- I liked Mechura in the prospect tourney. Hopefully he gets a chance to show if he's ready for the AHL.
-- I imagine Tufte and/or Koepke (and/or Jones) will be down in Providence at some point. Will be interesting to see where they slot in and who they push out of the lineup.

Does Pitlick have an AHL contract?

Very happy to see all the young D in the lineup, and that 4th line should be an absolute matchup nightmare for AHL opponents

Same, this looks like a prospect lineup for the most part which I am glad about. I may be misremembering, but it seems like in seasons past there has been a lot more use of vets and AHL level guys that have no future in the org.
