Providence Bruins General Discussion thread ‘24-‘25 II

Why would it be paper this time of year, they ain’t trying to bank space or anything? I do think it’s inevitable Lysell goes back down to prep for a playoff run, obviously. Was just hoping he could pot one first.
good experience being on a long NHL road trip. maybe a western team got to watch.

good, we need more centers

he'll probably just be another middle 6 guy which is why we need to swing for upside on a center at the draft and avoid safe choices. I am really hoping we win the lottery and snag Misa
Drafting a middle 6 player in the fourth line is awesome. He has a knack for creating offensive in big games. I think he is one of the bruins draft picks that will play nhl games.

I’m a little too high on Locmelis maybe though.

you mean round I assume

yea I like the pick

I just think we have too many guys who lean towards middle six center and need to knock the next one up to first line potential

Poitra, Locmelis and Letourneau all seem like their ceiling is 2nd line...which would be great if all three hit that, but we still need a 80+ point guy to play with pasta and give this team a change to win a cup while Pasta still has all his dirty blonde hair

I think the potential ceiling for letourneau is literally that of a 80/90 pt 1C, but its a big wildcard long term kind of thing. more evident by this year.

I’m hoping poitras has a Marc Savard development curve and hits 70-80 points in his career.

I mean Krejci played almost 3 full seasons in the AHL prior to sticking with the top club. He has the smarts, it’s the strength and ability to not be bodied easily off the puck that hopefully will come around with some strength training and a natural weight increase. So he can be either Krejci or Spooner. It’s all up to him

Hopefully he get plenty of playing time there
He should of been there instead of sitting for a month. I know he's been a mixed bag in Prov when he has played, but he looked real good in training camp.

Why they didn't send him to get playing time earlier is insane to me. Letting the kid rot just seems like a clusterf***.

Are you certain, it was not important for the Providence staff to have him in order to work with him on Bruins' playstyle, or the specific program that needs to be on in order to improve his shortcomings.

I find it hard to believe that this is as simple as we are making it out to be. I believe that even if I missed the mark on the reasons, that there were reasons they kept him in Providence. It is folly for us to sit here behind the keyboard and act like there is not deeper thought put into each and everyone of these multi-million dollar investments an NHL organization makes.
