I am really surprised that more things haven't moved outdoor. I know most restaurants that I have seen are expanding outdoor eating as much as possible


Churches for example. I know that some are quite vocal about how many other things have opened , how much safer would a church we under a giant gazebo, tent, whatever on the lawn that indoors?
 
There’s just no way this shit is gonna work until we’ve got a vaccine or something. If they can’t get it right now, why do we think they’ll be able to get it right during the playoff tournament? Can you imagine a team having to pull out of the final because of an outbreak?
 
Man... who could have possibly predicted this? Can't f***ing wait for the fallout of the Trump rally. A bunch of people packed together indoors, what could go wrong?

Only 1 was SNF

so 5 day rolling total on non SNF deaths is so 5 day rolling total on non SNF deaths is 2.4 . Last week was 2.57 for 7 deaths. Pretty consistent

Sounds like players aren't staying in their "bubbles", unless they tested positive before entering a bubble. (EDIT: Apparently the "bubbles" don't start until a later phase.)

Contracting COVID-19 isn't the end of the world for any professional athlete. All people who are now "out and about" should refrain from being in contact with anyone who is considered to be at high-risk of death if they contract the disease.

Did anyone really expect the number of cases to go down or remain flat once the country reopened? Remember the goal here is to not overwhelm the health care system, or cause fatalities among the most vulnerable. It was never to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to otherwise healthy individuals.

People who are vulnerable, or interact with vulnerable people should stay away from crowded places. It's pretty damn simple really.

An increase in cases is going to happen. It is inevitable. The country cannot support a lockdown of healthy individuals indefinitely.

...and if we don't get a vaccine? There still is no vaccine for SARS.

The players are not in the high-risk category. Some of the coaches on the other hand might want to keep their distance and not resume their coaching duties.

It’s certainly not a fact in the rest of the world (I’m in the rest of the world). The only fact is that occasionally a source in the US (usually Trump or Fox) claims it was created in a lab in Wuhan. The claims seem to stem from the need to deflect accountability... which is the general view of the rest of the world.
