BC runs UMass out to go to the Hockey East quarter finals on Saturday.

UNH and Providence are going to OT (a legit 20 minute OT).

Vermont is up 3-2 on Maine but just took a penalty with under 2 minutes left in the game. Winner also advances to the HE quarter finals. Vermont advances as the 11 seed. 👀

EPRinkside doing their annual NCAA UFA article -

Interesting how their Instat stuff tracks Malinski from Cornell. Certainly enjoy the writeups on Bengtsson and Hirose.

Canisius captain JD Pogue scores on a weird one - puck shot into the corner and he wired it to tie the game 1-1. Looks like he messed up his shoulder because he shot rather than protect himself from crashing into the end boards.

Pogue took a knee-on-knee hit that knocked him out of the game in the third period. The Niagara defender (Noah Carlin) was assessed a major & game misconduct.

NEU-Friars, Strubble just got kicked in the stick, which was between his legs. Chase Yoder, that's some dirty stuff.

Getting ready to go to RIT's game 3 with Holy Cross. RIT was dominant in regulation over the first two games but split overtime results.

Niagara-Canisius playing game 3 tonight as well.

Well, the Atlantic Hockey Championship is set . . . and it will take place Saturday, March 18 at 6:05 PM in downtown Buffalo.

Canisius advances to the final after vanquishing Niagara . . . and Holy Cross took down RIT in the other semifinal. The higher seed hosts, so it's a Golden Griffins home game for the conference title & the Atlantic Hockey autobid.

I'm already a wreck. Go the Griffs.

Michigan cleaned up their game nicely last week. They still gave OSU a few odd man rushes. That ain't gonna cut it against the Jaundiced Gerbils.

Doesn't Minnesota State seem poised to pee in someone's Wheaties if they make the tournament?

Yeah, though OSU and offense is... they are sort of B10 deadpuck from watching them like Notre Dame. If they had scoring, they'd be dangerous.

And yeah, MN St. seems like they could be again a Frozen Four finalist.
