Nice. Thanks for posting.

I'd think this kind of analysis should be what Sabres' coaching staff should be preparing to feed the younguns on a daily basis during training camp. We've got a bunch of young players who have been encouraged to develop their split-second reactions on offense. I'd want to believe that positioning and preparation to react defensively when the puck goes random should be complementary to offensive instincts. Or am I out to lunch?

If we don't see defensive improvement next season, you'd think some bodies will have to be moved (either coaches if they fail to teach or players if they won't be taught).

You’re not out to lunch at all. Adam‘s talked about this in his recent WGR interview. That Donny had been focused on giving guys confidence in the NHL with their offense. That next year will be about cleaning things up to improve their defense.

It was a good listen. Thanks for the link.

Interesting to learn his role. Does video breakdowns for the dmen and the PK (along with d-coach). Then get togethers to compare notes. Tries to make as many home games as he can.

And boy does he have a ton of respect for Matt Ellis as a human being.

It did bring some insight to what Girardi's roll is and sounds like a sweet gig.

Love that he went of out his way to bring up Sammy when Whit was discussing OP and Dahls.

Thought it was a good interview overall. Glad you enjoyed it as well.

This is the type of move I would of liked to see the Sabres make, at least in terms of working with the power play. Instead we do not want to hurt feelings, cuase any friction with KA's buddy, or walk on glass.
