Well, the way I see it there are two options.

A) They ARE trying to win and playing horrible, truly awful.

B) 99% chance this is the right one: they are losing on purpose, which is worse than A.

I've got to agree with the Swedish commentators - Tellqvist, Lidström and Holmström were the only ok Swedish players today. Tellqvist should be seriously pissed, his teammates didn't even try.

Congrats to Switzerland for making it to the semi-finals.

I agree with you that we swedes should feel ashamed about this effort. But too be fare, all swedes I know have only complemented Finlands effort and attitude so far. No need to rub it in, we already know that Finland have better work ethic in these tournaments.
