Demitra got tossed for using his skate. Pierre McGuire told us this like 8 times in a row.
 
Another awesome period. I love that the ref is letting them play, it's refreshing to see some 5 on 5 hockey after that Canada-Switzerland penalty fest.

Great job by the US to tie it up before the period ended, nice faceoff win by Gomez and a beautiful shot by Rolston. DiPietro also had a great pokecheck.

Hopefully we'll see some more great play in the third!
 
End of the 2nd. 1-1. That goal by Hossa was because Hatcher vacated his zone by going for the hit on Demietra. He laid him out, but it allowed for Hossa to walk right in on Dipietro. Bad choice to take himself out of position. He played it like even strength.

Beautiful shot by Rolston. When a goalie is fighting the puck like Budja, you need to let him look at it as many times as you can.

Cole is playing with a lot of motor, he and Blake look like the only forwards out there playing with energy on every single shift. Gionta looks good too.

That goal was because Schneider was an idiot!
 
Tkachuk made a great play on the goal by holding the line and drawing the defensemen to the inside, which gave Rolston the left half of the zone to himself.
 
Any westcoasters getting the game yet. Im getting the stupid skiing biathalon crap but the CZE game I can get. So much for the promise of showing every US game commercial free.

WEIGHT ??? who the hell is weight centering ?!? or is he just playing PP .. call me deaf dump and blind but after 40 minutes of hockey I have still no clue ..

so is it Weight - Parrish and Drury ?? but I cant remember them .. to be honest

It was his fault that they were on the powerplay, yes. However, it could have been killed with a little execution by the players still on the ice. Hatcher blew an assignment and it cost us a goal. That's what I meant by that.
 
US are playing a very solid game, Slovakia are in their gutless mode of no forecheck which killed them at the World Cup. The US will break through if they keep taking pucks hard to the net. Cole is unreal. And as I say it the Slovaks score. :)
