Guts effort by Laval last night, they found a way to win.
Dobes I would assume gets the start.

I'm kinda hoping it's ABB's last game in the AHL. He's too good for the AHL and the Habs could definitely use his offensive instinct on the top 2 lines + PP2 at the moment. I'm not saying he's the long time solution, but until Laine/Demidov come in, he cannot be worse than Armia-Heineman-Anderson and whoever is currently assigned in a scoring role.

I don't there is a reason he has never been able to stick when he does come up.I'm kinda hoping it's ABB's last game in the AHL. Agreed. I’m getting tired of arguing the reasons why calling up players from Laval thinking they’ll make a difference is wrong. There’s plenty of guys that are “too good for the ahl”.They gave him opportunity at the beginning of the season and he was a non-factor. His skating isn't good enough for the NHL. He's a tweener: too good for AHL, but not good enough for NHL. That means he should be Europe bound. Montreal is paying him $750k regardless of where he plays this year. They want his offense in Laval, and it looks like a good signing.
Belleville seemed to block a hell of a lot of shots and Laval did come on in the 2nd and 3rd after a lopsided first.I don't there is a reason he has never been able to stick when he does come up.
Condotta and ABB are an integral part of Laval's future success perhaps when we get some healthy bodies back but his line wasn't great.
Sure they scored a couple but they also gave up a couple. Three of our four lines got outplayed handily last night and his was one of them.
I'm curious to see how Vincent sets up his lines tonight because he knows we stole one.
Vincent and his staff adjusted and found a way to win. The shots were 17-6 early on and after the first Laval was much more engaged.Agreed. He was signed for the success of the Laval Rocket this season not the Montreal Canadiens.ABB is not part of Laval's future success. He's on a 1 year contract and is UFA next season. This kind of player (borderline NHLers) never stick to their AHL team. If he doesn't get a real opportunity in the NHL, he'll sign with a team that might give him an opportunity next year.
He isn't an NHL player. There is nothing wrong with that...he is still making loads of money playing a game he loves. He was signed for the success of the Laval Rocket this season not the Montreal Canadiens.
I'm really not sure what calling him up will accomplish. The team has opted for other players so what role is he to get?
If he signs elsewhere next year do you honestly think this fan base will be fretting.
Hopefully Dobes doesn't look too rusty. Lindstrom is always steady

That's what Dauphin did and he openly said he regretted it. Coming back to Laval was his #1 priority this summer, even on an AHL deal.
We'll see if ABB favors being close to home.
We can send a message by dressing Pezz. What it will accomplish is just sending a message about meritocracy and putting some pressure on Armia, Heineman, Dvorak and/or Pezzetta that they need to work harder or someone else will take their spot. I know we all want Laval to succeed, but no organization in the NHL keep their most deserving players in the AHL to the detriment of their NHL club.
True, but ABB is better than Dauphin. I think ABB still has a chance of being an NHLer.

I am watching Laval and may peek in at the HabsI wonder how long I'll last watching the Habs tonight.
Already 0-1 against Toronto today.
Nice pass from EngstromSimonac c'est Simoneau!
