I think Dobes has better mental toughness which is important for a goalie. Tim Thomas had it. Dobes technique still kills me to watch. And those rebounds. He battles though and he's athletic. I just wonder if it's sustainable against the skill level of today's shooters.I felt at ease with Dobes. Something about his aura.
Primeau always seems off by a second kr down too low or rattled or ..
Like I averred before the game it was his net to lose.Hard not to give the next one to Primeau.
That line changed the game and started getting extra shifts.Xhekaj is a keeper, we need that type of player so much.
Fowler will have all next year to gain experience.Keep Prime in net next game.
Fowler will learn by being around the team and playing when called upon.
The good thing it’s he’s in the play. But he’s consistently a split second off offensively. It could very well be differences between Europe and the AHL and he’s tweaking his play. I need more of a sample to figure him out.Big ice / small ice adaptation here. He's going to figure it out i'm sure. He needs physical maturity and to learn how to use it but the IQ and skills are there as well as work ethic... no rush, nice prospect.
Lindstrom is outstanding at this level. We win!!
Solid 3rd period. Great games by Primeau, Lindstrom and Xhekaj in particular.
Condotta, Reinbacher & Beck were good too.
That'll be fun!Charlotte swept the back-to-back champs Hershey.
So if Laval eliminates Amerks, Charlotte is the opponent in the Conference Finals.
Looked pretty good as a what, 23 years old rookie?I think Dobes has better mental toughness which is important for a goalie. Tim Thomas had it. Dobes technique still kills me to watch. And those rebounds. He battles though and he's athletic. I just wonder if it's sustainable against the skill level of today's shooters.
He really is and quietly has been for much of this season.Lindstrom is outstanding at this level.
Watch his pivots, its scary how weak his knee is.
Of course. Sad because hes a player that I feel gets a lot from his 360 degree movement.Yeah, he's probably wearing a brace which affects his mobility. He can barely make the turn around the net and can't do a backwards pivot at all. The few times he's tried it he almost loses his balance and loses the puck.
He'll need to work on lower body strengthening exercises this summer. It's weak from surgery and being off for 6 months.
He turned 20 before training camp and he is Laval's youngest player.Xhekaj is going to be an impactful player for us very soon, just need to put on more muscles and get stronger.
