Laval Rocket: GDT- Game ONE Conference Finals Charlotte at Laval 7PM

Fowler isn't the only prospect on the team. They are also developing guys like Reinbacher, Mailloux, Engstrom, Xhekaj, Kapanen, Beck, Roy etc.

Primeau has been fantastic so he deserves to play and allow them to move on in the playoffs to help the young guys gain even more experience.

Primeau is the reason they finished the season so strong.......I get the Fowler development thing, but the team wants to win, and you can be assured Primo has the guys in the room behind him, not the new college kid....

I am just thinking of the team, and the playoffs.
Fowler will get a shit ton of development in Laval, next year. Proper thing....
Fowler and Reinbacher are the only ones that really matter. Primeau should not even figure in the equation.

I am finding it a bit comical that everyone who was OK with Primeau getting forced into starts when loaned back by the Habs, are suddenly mad at the way Vincent is handling the goaltending situation.

He's made the wrong decision in almost every start since Primeau was sent down. I think we can finally agree that he isn't managing the situation the best and that he was not logically thinking when initially forcing Primeau back into the net.

I'm excited to see how Fowler bounces back but I would be starting Primeau tonight. That said I would have never started him in game 3 against Cleveland or game 1 against Rochester. He took Fowler out of a groove and might be doing the same with Primeau here now.

Yeah thank God they are willing to neglect every other prospect to make sure Fowler shows he isn't ready and costs the team, it's fans and the rest of the team a chance to win a championship.
Yes Fowler's development matters more than others. He's the one they're gonna be counting on to win a cup, not Barre-Boulet or Dauphin.

Look like people are missing half the story here, because they were crystal clear on how they were going to handle it.

Full article:

They are putting developpement ahead of results, as they should, it's the farm team of a rebuilding team.

Exactly. Lots of time to develop Fowler. Start Primeau and if nothing else raise his trade value.

People need to realize the ahl is strictly a developmental league and nothing more. Teams will always prioritize that over winning. The primary goal is to develop the few that will eventually make the jump. Winning comes in way second.

That is garbage. Teams have to try to win to attract decent AHL lifers to help prospects develop. They have all season to develop players. Playoffs are more for the vets.

Or you know.. just logically use your goaltenders.

Don't take Fowler out fresh off a shutout for Primeau.
Don't Take Fowler out fresh off another shutout and a series win for Primeau.
Don't take Primeau out after Fowler lost his last game and Primeau won his last start.

Not rocket science. But I'm enjoying the shoe being on the other foot. No one gonna say Vincent is handling the goalies optimally now?

Why do think that Vincent is the one handling the goaltending decisions? It seems pretty clear that he’s not, at least not without “guidance” from HuGo.

Omg it's clearly directions from the top.

Should we also be crying over who's being left out because Reinbacher is playing now after not being there all season.
