Laval Rocket: GDT: Game FOUR- Rochester at Laval 7PM EST

He is closer to 6' than 6'2.
Folks better get ready to be disappointed. It's early in his development so he gets the benefit of the doubt. Those who have him ahead of Dobes might want to slow down that thinking.
My point about Fowler vs Dobes is that Fowler is more poised and more stable than Dobes. But yes.....he has ways to go too. Goaltending is so tough to predict though. Reason why I have NO issue with picking at least 1 goalie per draft. No matter how it looks in the present.

Dobes looked like a man amongst boys when he got his groove going in the AHL.
Fowler has several years of development ahead. It will not be linear...there will be lots of ups and downs similar to how Carey Price developed. 5 years after being drafted Price was backing up 9th round pick Halak in the playoffs. Goaltending is difficult to predict as you say.

Fowler looks so calm and poised but it’s worrisome seeing so many pucks appear to go right through him from the point.

Dobes is so sporadic in the net, almost makes himself look smaller with how much he loses his net and flops around.

Terrible game for Mailloux, the refs, Fowler has to have some of those, the PP struggled. One of Engstrom's best games of the playoffs, same for Roy. If Kapanen can burry half of the chances he gets, he could be an interesting prospect as clearly his SHL #'s are very impressive but he's had some really great chances that just are not going in for now. Gignac I just don't get why he gets in every game.

Sunday will be a great experience for all the prospects, do or die time.

Price was heads and tails above Fowler coming out of Junior so he was starting from a couple of steps higher before the ups and downs happened.
It was pretty much all up for Price until he got his first All Star Game.

I’m not seeing a “lot of future Habs”, overhyped prospects yes…
Reinbacher's our most important prospect on the Rocket. Mailloux, Florian, Beck, Engstrom, Kapanen are all future NHLers whether or not it's with the Habs. Roy, Davidson, Tuck all have a chance at NHL careers.

Besides, it doesn't matter what you or I think. Hughes has mentioned the importance and benefits of a long playoff run for the Rocket for the the development of Habs prospects many times before Fowler was even part of the club.
