Laval Rocket: GDT: Game FOUR- Rochester at Laval 7PM EST

i watched the highlights and didn't even know Reinbacher was playing , they never showed him at all. Sad.
Reinbacher isnt a Highlight reel player. It was difficult to find something positive in the game yesterday, but I think the best pairing was the one of Engstrom / Reinbacher
I really like how Engstrom is skating in the Ozone. I think he could play in the NHL on regular basis. He has that offensive flair. Reinbacher was more hidden, but in the same time. He broke a lot of play, and he is good to rush the offensive. I would like to see him more physical thought. But he is young. He need more experience. He is the futur partner of Lane Hutson

Other than Redenbacher, Beck, Fowler and maybe Engstrom, I don’t see any other future Habs players
Xhekaj? I do think Xhekaj can become a bottom 6 player. He has some offensive tools and he is a physical player and not that slow. But for the rest, I am agree with you.

Putting Fowler in a key Playoffs game was stupid. That Laval team, without him, dominated the AHL the whole season, and Primeau was the top goalie.

And I am beginning to have concerns about Fowler (nothing that cannot be fixed). The guy seems to fail in every single game when the stakes are high. During the BeanPot, the Frozen Four, Fowler seems to bend under pressure.

He didn't really fail in the Frozen 4 and Beanpot. The big line was shat. Perrerault and Leonard did nothing for the most part. Either they didn't mesh with any centre or they just failed.

Because of 1 bad AHL playoff loss lmao

Some of you guys man lol..
No.. because of the entire season. Redenbacher is pretty much a guarantee, Fowler should be at some point next season, Beck & Xhekaj likely will at some point

That’s about it.

No, its not an issue.

He's just starting his pro career, if that continues 3-4 years from now, then sure.

Who cares about his performance last night, I know we all love to get wrapped up in results but the goal at the AHL level is development.

And whether Fowler is winning or losing, he's playing and gaining experience.

Process > Results.
Some players develop, some don't. Some reaches their ceiling earlier, some don't. So weaknesses will always be an issue if they can't fix it. So it's an issue that needs fixing. Pretty sure I never said that he will never fix it.....

As far as what the AHL is for, yeah mostly. You still need to win at one point so that OTHER players on that team benefit from the development we all love and adore. Fowler isn't the only player in need of development. How about Engstrom, Reinbacher, Beck, Xhekaj, Tuch and the rest of the guys? So Fowler absolutely needs a rotation for his development...but how about Mesar's? He's done?

You talk about Fowler in 3-4 years while there are other prospects in there that could also benefit from development in a longer playoffs, players that are older and you need more info on them WAY sooner than what you need from Fowler.

Thinking Davidson could be added there.......Tuch for the 4th line.....
Could be a couple of more players............the boys need to win game 5 and hit the next round.

Primeau gets the nod in game 5..................

Yeah, I agree. Could perhaps add Davidson and Tuch, but there’s no elite talent down in Laval.

We really don’t have any up and coming forwards (I’m exempting Demidov) besides Hage, so we better hope he hits. I’d like to see us draft two forwards at 16 and 17 assuming we don’t trade those picks for help.
