Laval Rocket: GDT: Game FOUR Cleveland at Laval 7PM EST

Still go with Fowler. I don't care about how far the Rocket get, I want Fowler to get development time.
I'm not invested in the success of the Laval team, I'm invested in which of the Habs' prospects develop to come play for the Canadiens.
What about all the other young players that will benefit from a long playoff run? They don't matter? Reinbacher has missed most of the season and a long Calder Cup run would benefit his missed development of this past season. It isn't just about Fowler.

I think Fowler is very much atop the priority list. How many "young" players are we realistically thinking even have a shot at the team aside from Fowler? 2-3? Big whoop. It's the AHL, not the NHL. I'd rather Fowler play and lose than not play and Primeau (who will get dealt) plays.

Florian Xhekaj needs top 6 minutes. I am amazed that he scored 24 goals playing 4th line minutes.
Yes Vincent tends to over-play a certain line even when they clearly aren't on.
Sometimes certain players on that line extend their shifts...
I like the 30-40 seconds shifts that keep the game at a high pace which should be all to our advantage.
Play the lines that tilt the ice.

And Fowler got 2 games. He got his AHL experience if he doesn't get into another game.

Tell that to an entire locker room of professional players that Fowler's development is all that matters. These guys deserve a chance at success. Look, if Fowler deserves the net then fine, do it. If not, you play the players who give you the best shot.

Fowler won both his starts..

And you didn't answer my question about how many of them realistically have a chance with the Habs.

If Fowler starts tonight I am good with it but realistically the egg the entire team laid in game 3 even Fowler would have lost.
Like I said Fowler is but one player. Mailloux, Engstrom, Tuch, Xhekaj, Reinbacher, Beck, Kapanen also need to develop.

Primeau carried this team to first place so he should be the starter unless he wets the bed, which I doubt he will. They can give Fowler one game per series.

Laval lost the last game because they couldn't score. That will happen sometimes, but given their roster they should be scoring a lot.

Rocket's lineup this morning:

Farrell-Dauphin-BBoulet
RHP- Condotta-Simoneau
Roy-Kapanen-Gignac
Davidson-Xhekaj-Beck

Wotherspoon-Lindstrom
Trudeau-Mailloux
Engström- Reinbacher

Gignac draws in, joining Roy and Kapanen on what promises to be an pretty good line. Beck moves to a killer 4th line with Davidson and Flo. Tuch out.

No news on who is starting in nets. I'd go with Fowler...without a moment's hesitation.

Vincent is obviously not confirming who his starter is. He says it's the playoffs.

When asked about all the NHL coach openings, Vincent says his priority is ensuring his team is ready to compete in the playoffs. If an NHL team wants to approach him, they'll need to do it when he's done with the AHL Playoffs.

Those clamoring for Fowler to start this game all I can say is- if Laval plays like they did in game 3, Carey Price or Ken Dryden couldn't win this game.
It takes the entire team and the effort Laval displayed in game 3 was embarrassing.
I agree. If people want to whine about goaltending, look to the other side of the rink. Greaves won them that game. Laval didn’t play their greatest, but I felt they did get the higher quality chances.

I care and most of the population of Laval cares. Fowler will get development time next year. Go deep and win it all. I don’t care who starts. Fowler can do it all again next year!

I know. This crap about development is annoying. The roster isn’t made up of only draftees. Yea, development is important, but it’s playoffs now. Time to win and reward the fans and ALL the players. This coach has put most of them in a position to succeed all season. If people would rather see Mesar and Kidney then ABB and Dauphin in these playoffs , then why are you watching these games on the first place???
