And to Jussi bahaha...could these first 3 games be any more classically Hurricanes games? These guys are Checkers bad last year. FYI...Michelle Jordan has been much more himself this game (he was one of the worst Checkers dmen the last 2 seasons, even though he was decent in his time with the Canes)

It is time for our captain to step up and be a leader. Oh wait, he doesn't do that.

$9 million, yeah **** off.

We swapped out sekera for wiz, a small downgrade. Lost wiz. Swapped semin for versteeg, who plays quicker but hasn't paid off. Gained a better goalie than dobby. That's it. There wasn't a lot of reasons to expect a big difference. Jstaal still doesn't bring offense like we hoped, Eric looks a little better to me than last year but doesn't have the touch. Skinner isn't on. Bad combo.

A win or two and this all looks different so there's no reason to freak out, but I haven't seen anything to change my low expectations this year. We've got to stay the course and ride this out.

Hanfin's rush at the end was purdy.

Unless somehow a miracle occurs, everyone on this God Damned team is expendable except for Faulk/Hanifin/Lindholm.

Maybe I had unrealistic expectations but I expected better from this bunch. How the **** do you outshoot another team by ****ing 25 and not only lose but lose in regulation? How the **** does the God Damned PP still look like the same ******** that it was under Paul Maurice? How the **** does Eric Staal keep looking/playing like he doesn't give a ****?

This is a ****ing joke, this is the same ****ing ******** that we have put up with for 6 years now. We are once again going nowhere and getting nowhere. Is it really any wonder why this franchise keeps losing money and sees dwindling attendance every season? A new coach is not the answer. Bringing Gleason back (dear God please no, been there done that, time to move on) is not the answer. I have given up on the "cornerstones" of the franchise, it's time to part ways.

You're probably thinking I am overreacting, and maybe I am. But **** it, I'm tired of this ********. I'm tired of watching our team spin their wheels in the mud while teams like Calgary/Columbus go from bottom feeders to playoff contenders.

Good night.

Hanifin got owned by Jagr.

Was nice to see lack make saves on quality chances.

Panthers outplayed the hurricanes all night. Flat out more talented. Pathetic. Opposite of Detroit, where the hurricanes outplayed them all night.

Murphy and Skinner were noticeable in good ays.

I had an annuerysm when Brad Malone came out on the empty net unit.

Getting tired of shots on the rush when that particular person is leading the rush.

You're not overreacting. I think this is the worst team I've seen in some time and to be in regression after 6 years of suck is pitiful.

So much gnawing and gnashing of teeth. Unless I'm mistaken, we pretty much predicted to be a bad team this year, correct? So an 0-3 start isn't unexpected.

Hell, the surprising thing about this start is they haven't looked like complete ass for two out of the three games.

Because it's a reaffirmation of the suck and the future of suck we have ahead of us. There wasn't even any hope. That went away 5 minutes into the season for me. It's frustration right now which will quickly turn to apathy in a short while. Getting my two cents in while I still care

I know I said good night but I saw this post and would like to respond before finally retiring for the night.

Novacane pretty much hit the nail on the head, this is quickly becoming a carbon-copy of last season. There is no excuse for this. Why does this team year after year spin their wheels in the mud? It's like they do everything wrong and nothing right.

Meanwhile, the Calgary Flames 2 seasons ago had no one on their roster except for a rookie Sean Monahan. The following season they made the playoffs, and even won a round. The Columbus Blue Jackets were the leagues worst team in 2012, they made the playoffs 2 seasons later and are expected to compete for them again this season, the team we just played tonight was a bottom feeder 2 seasons ago and they look like a potential playoff contender. What the hell is this teams excuse? This is the Edmonton Oilers of the East minus the constant #1 picks.

I have never seen a player underachieve so much like Eric Staal. This dude could have been a constant top ten player in this league, hell he even could be today. But he plays like he is content with what he has already achieved in his career and doesn't show any interest in playing like he should be playing. He breathes like he ran a marathon when he does those interviews at intermission yet all I see is a guy wearing #12 with a 'C' attached to his jersey just going through the motions.

Cam Ward, love the guy but unfortunately both parties are better off I think going their separate ways at this point. How many ****ing first goals has this guy given up in his career?

I'm really not sure what the direction of this team is, they say they want to be a contender but I don't see it. They say they understand the frustration of the fans but it's like being put on hold by Bank of America when you discover fraudulent charges on your bank card. We're going on 7 seasons now of incompetent ******** and yet no one seems to know the first step of how to get better, or what that step even is.
