For me not when the Lightning play the Panthers. They literally stood in front of the tv all series. Especially when the Panthers were up or at the start of the game


They see me as their slow dad who likes the Lightning and knows no better.

I'm probably lucky that I don't have any kids since I'm so into sports. I can't imagine having a toddler ask me, "mommy, why are you yelling at the TV?" There's nothing you can say to a kid that age that will make sense to them.

Toddlers are easy. Teenagers? That's an entirely different species.

The Leafs will lose tonight as there are too many distractions for the home team with too much time off. (eg girlfriends, housework, wives, kids, etc. etc) If I was Berube I'd sequester them in a hotel for the entire time they are in Toronto to keep them focused and sharp. It was ploy used by the great Scotty Bowman.

This is why I say you guys don't even watch the games.

Game 4 they held the Sens to 0 shots in the third until the first shot tied the game ~3 min left.

Game 5 they held the Sens to 4 shots COMBINED in the 2nd and 3rd period

You realize that's not the same thing as saying they held them to 1 or 2 shots until the third period, right?

That's a totally different thing.

But I don't even fully understand this boast. You are pumping their tires saying that the Leafs held the Senators to 4 shots combined in the 2nd and 3rd periods of Game 5. What you are leaving out, is that the Senators scored three goals in the third period of Game 5, so I don't really get that brag here.

You actually selected the two games the Leafs lost in the series to brag about. It's odd.

The illegal stick challenge was in the Final.

In Game 2, with the Kings leading, the Canadiens challenged the curve on McSorely's stick.

It was deemed to be illegal and the Canadiens went to the power play where Eric Desjardins scored. He added another, his third of the game, in overtime and became the first defenseman in NHL history to score a hat trick in the Stanley Cup Final.

Go look at Jokic talk about playing the Heat on YouTube, when he says “I play in Serbia!” That’s what it’s like. Olympiakos and Panathinaikos are 2 of the top 5 teams outside the NBA.

I am a Habs fan, but I've always been a Leafs fan, too. Born and raised in Toronto.

I'm a Habs fan, a Leafs fan and a Red Wings fan, in that order. It was much easier to root for Toronto and Detroit when they were Western Conference teams.

Since they moved to the East, it was much tougher and I largely sort of gave up on Detroit.

For me, there's never really been a rivalry wth the Leafs, becuase until the 2021 playoffs, the two teams had never played a game that really mattered in my entire life time. I don't hate the Leafs, I don't really see them as a rival. I hate the Bruins. They are easily the biggest "rival" to the Habs for me.

Again, there is plenty to brag about when your team wins a series. It's strange to chose to brag about your play in the games you lost, and it's really odd when you specifically boast about limiting a team to four shots... when they scored on three of them.

I say this in respect Leaf fans (and in Jest). They need to go all in for Rogaine. Matthews is losing his hair and it might be gone after this series.

Hair on Matthews head brings swag confidence and a guaranteed extra 15 more goals in the regular season. It'll cost a 3rd rounder.
