You're right. I'm a big troll sometimes. But, sometimes I wonder whether McCabe would have made Team Canada if he played for Anaheim or Washington.

If he was leading NHL defencemen in scoring playing for those teams, then he probably would be.. :shakehead

Fluky goal. Under review.

How is batting a puck out of mid-air at all fluky?

Talk about good hand-eye coordination...

I've always wondered, why do people consider hitting the post bad luck? Is missing the net by an inch bad luck? Either way they are both misses, luck has nothing to do with it.

Its not only the place of birth.

I mean i don't care if you were born in the ukraine if you learned to play hockey in germany. Kölzig however din't even know he could play in the national team until ustdorf told him... never mind;

Hey fellow german posters is anybody still watching ARD? I just wish that figure skater breaks his frigging neck!

Because clearly we won't get enough scoring from our forwards, we should sacrifice defensive ability.

McCabe has one of the best PP shots in the league, but I'll take Richards' or Pronger's shot if they can play defence as well.

No, einsvestival.
Is ard not showing the hockey game, or are they showing ballet only in the breaks?

He's the only defencman in the NHL scoring more than a point per game. And he plays on a team that can't score.

Relax with the McCabe Bashing we all know he makes poor decisions but in all honesty those two plays were not that bad.

He went to the bench on the PK sure but u peolpe realize that the coaches make that decision on a play like that.

And the Turnover at the blueline well thats McCabe, if u watch the leafs he does that constantly to Kaberle but Kaberle knows whats happening steps towards McCabe and stops the turnover.

McCabe should not be playing much outside the Power play but seriously relax with the McCabe bashing.

That's Das Erste right? I've been trying to watch the game there. They skipped the entire second period so they could interview speed skaters, and show figure skating.

Wade Redden isn't Tomas Kaberle, though. He can't make those mistakes in the Olympics.

Toronto is middle-of-the pack, at 3.05 GPG. They can score better than half the teams in the NHL.

If Quinn is smart, he goes with Blake, Pronger, Bouwmeester, Redden, Regehr and Foote from here on and spots McCabe on the second PP unit.
I still can't believe McCabe got the nod over Phaneuf.
Hell, I would prefer Boyle.

Good this you're not the coach then.....I'm sure we all can acknowledge McCabe isn't the best defensively, but he LEADS the NHL in PP points by a DMan and honestly, he should be the number one option from the point on the powerplay.

Yes, das erste. Terrible station :shakehead
I am glad that I don't have to watch the game on this station.
They love it to send to this event for 5 minutes then to an interview to this place for 2 minutes and so on...simply horrible

Right.
As far as i am concerned, the speed skating girls should suit up and play for germany, that would be our best offensive option.

BTW all monteral canadiens must die for badly hurting sturm & hecht;
Oh and the boston bruin manager that disallowed marco sturm to play for germany should better never put a foot on bavarian soil :rant:

Of course not, hes not nearly as good if only team Canada had someone as good as Kaberle who could cover for McCabe ;)

5 on 5 they can't score. They are 24th in the league. And McCabe still averages more scoring per game 5 on 5 than any other d-man in the league.
