That top line has been INVISIBLE at even strength. Including Guenthe.

Wright has been stout defensively but leaves a lot to be desired on the offensive end.

Canada needs a lot more from that top line going forward
They generated chances that period. Idk what game you're watching but Guenther looks like he is rolling tonight.

You usually wouldn’t say this about a Canadian team but so far their play in this tournament is almost entirely dependent on one player (Bedard).

There’s a reason he dropped.

My colleague’s son played defence for the Generals and told me that he wasn’t particularly intimidated by Wright.

Slafkovsky was a better pick and I said so before the draft while being accosted by Hab fans.
Wasnt that so strange? But now they love him. Its something else. I think Wright has played better this year than last. Slaf is and was quite clearly the better prospect.

Also this has been a great game, alot of fight in the slovaks. All the people ripping on Canada need to relax.

Yeah he's been flying.

I know what you’re watching and it’s the winger that has only produced on the powerplay because of Connor Bedard.

Your bias is coming through “Yotes4Cup“

They are Canadiens aren't they?
"Slafkovsky? Non we have not seen this...is that a beaver?"

This has the feel of a meltdown for Team Canada. They need to continue to attack the Slovaks instead of sitting back.

Put Beck in when Canada has a defensive zone faceoff. He wins the draw then you can line change him out.

Guenther hasn't looked great this tournament, but you better get your glasses on in the third period here because Guenther has looked good tonight.

EDIT: Also he is still finishing and scoring goals. You guys would be whining if he didn't finish em' on the PP also. Scoring goals on the PP is a skill bud. He is a finisher...look how many goals the kid has scored in Jr hockey

Canada has played fine and generally carried the play 5 on 5.

Both sides have been really physical and competitive all over the ice. It’s awesome to see.

It’s been a good hockey game. Saying Canada is sitting back isn’t true at all, they’ve had the puck and chances for most of the game.

I’ll make sure I have my glasses on, and boner up when Guenther is on the ice. Ya’know - just like you!

I thought that was a great hit on Clarke but that’s been a penalty all tournament. If the refs are going to keep letting them play then fine but they better not start calling that late in the game.
No, it wasn't, and no, they haven't been calling that as a penalty.

Hockey is a momentum game. If Slovakia can equalize the game, it'd probably rattle the Canadians quite a bit. If that happens, i give Slovakia the advantage.

However, Canada is still up and has super dangerous offense. They could still rip Slovakia apart. Very entertaining hockey game nonetheless!

Canada has to know the Slovaks are coming hard at them for 20 minutes. Better not be thinking of Defensive shell cause its going to backfire on Canada

That's the kind of hit I used to love to deliver, was on the receiving end too.
I'm glad they aren't calling clean hits a penalty because of the visuals. That's one thing I've often hated about IIHF refffing

Guenter will be just fine when Cooley and Richter feed him nice passes for those one timers

Credit to the Slovaks for their Faceoff dominance so far in this game. Great game so far, and some posters are a bit too critical of Canada and not giving the Slovaks enough credit. They are a solid team. Hoping Canada can pull it out with 20 minutes left.
