People keep saying this core won't work, but we just don't know that yet. Are the holes in the lineup filled yet? No, so don't say they can't right the ship with a few trades.

at some point you have to crap or get off the pot. i'm not a "blow it up, trade everyone" jackass but at some point you have to accept this team isn't good enough and it's time to move on.
this is the third coach and 4th, 5th, 6th, season for a lot of these guys. the line has to be drawn at some point.
So? The team still hasn't peaked. Think about it this way. The Blues had the best defense in the history of the NHL last year. They added 2 of the best forward prospects they've had in awhile. Their stud d-men are under 25. Can anyone really say that acquiring a LHD and a center wouldn't make a difference? The whole depth thing only works if you don't have any weak links. LA was in the same spot as the Blues. They fixed it by filling holes.
