Missed a stinker. Lucky me.

I am seeing a lot of posts about the owners. Let me just say this.. who are these clowns even scared of around here? They got their new arena and their BS mall but who are they answering to in the media or anyone relevant for that matter?? Who are they feeling the heat from or tired of being embarrassed in the media by?? We need to show up to the games and chant it in their faces or put up another billboard, or maybe 3 of them. FIRE LOU

This....Is a great post. 100% truth and spot on.

Well I wrote a letter to those owners personally about 2 weeks ago. I'd totally welcome another billboard. I'd even chip in. Who are the fans who organized it back in 2018?

I mean… they just built a $1B arena, spending near the cap, and committed long term to players. For a bonus, you got a free high end mall and an All Star Game.

Weren’t those all the asks for a very long time?

When fans go to a game they can also buy a jersey and then wear it inside out in protest. That'll show 'em.

Seriously, these are the best owners the Isles have ever had (understanding that's a low bar). I don't mind them waiting until the season is over, but if they don't move on from Lou and hire a smart, proactive guy to replace him, then we can talk billboards.

My post was in reference to Lou and that it’s going on 3 years since he should’ve been fired. These owners don’t care because as we stated, they got their $1B arena and their value of the franchise is exactly where they want it. This team cannot go any longer with Lou running it or we will be right where we were before they bought the team as far as the on ice product. I don’t have any beef with the owners other than the fact that they seem to be just letting Lou do whatever he wants. The Engvall and Mayfield contracts should’ve gotten him fired alone and now after this 4 game losing streak, I just read that they still want to resign Nelson and Palms? I don’t even know what to say anymore in regards to Lou because I just get very angry. How anyone could watch this team on a nightly basis and think resigning Nelson or Palms does any good is mind boggling.

I don’t have any problem with the owners and what they’ve done to bring us a new arena, etc. My post was strictly in reference to the marriage with Lou. If they cared as much as some of you say they do then the 82 year old fossil would be in Florida playing golf.

Resigning them is NOT a good idea.

- Continue to like Gatcombe
- Continue to think Tsyplakov is moving towards being a considerable contributor down the line
- Continue enjoy watching the style of DeAngelo and Boqvist passes that you never see from Mayfield (or really anyone else for that matter, incl. Dobson)
- Continue to think Horvat is very limited without a speedy and/or crafty puck-carrier on his line
- Continue to think Sorokin is an extremely human goaltender who needs considerable help in front of him in order to get hot

With this rather laughable loss, the realities of this team, now just 4 points removed from last place in the conference with no 2nd or 3rd string goalie and with its two most marketable U30 core players still out of the line-up, can't be ignored.

In Nelson, we continue to possess the hottest trade piece on the market. Palms and Pageau can certainly be viewed as reasonably desirable pieces for several playoff teams if the price is right. Dobson's value as a considerable moveable asset is quite tempting in light of the realization of how little we'd really need him and his warts moving forward if we can just re-sign DeAngelo and Boqvist for a combined half the price.

We're at a point where this ship can be put on a whole new path with the right maneuvers.

It should actually be a time of great excitement!
