its the same game as it was during the winning streak except bad night for our goalie...I lost hope after one of those two great chances on 4 on 4 did not get in...but just keep playing, win every period even if its not enough for winning.

I love going to PNC Park, but holy shit watching the Pirates on TV is a whole new form of torture.

I put it on to see what shenanigans the announcers are up to, since they don’t discuss the game 98% of the time. When I switched over earlier they were arguing about whether pitchers should have golf carts that cart them from the pen to the mound.

Sid's play has been far too embarrassing tonight to excuse it in any way with 'Jake and Rust aren't passing to him enough'.
Sure.
However my comment was broader than just tonight's first period.

I'm a card-carrying member of the "Zucker gets no respect" club, but man, he's gotta chip in sometime. I know he's not a play driver or main production dude, but he's gotta capitalize when he gets these chances.
Skates hard all over the place while accomplishing very little

There's a reason some of us want him nowhere near Malkin and Kapanen.

For all of the questions about his long term staying power, McCann showed 100X the chemistry with those two and was a lot more productive (in terms of points, analytics, and the eye test) than Zucker ever was.

I know you like the comeback 'well, Malkin was playing like shit' (actually, he didn't have his legs), but even when he was shit, you saw real chemistry with Kapanen that you never saw with Zucker, frankly ever.

EDIT: My gut says Zucker is on the table if something bigger presents itself . . . thinking a Perron for Hagelin style swap, where maybe you lose a little 'talent' and get back a better fit for the team.

Does Sid warn the boys ahead of time when he's going to have a game like this where he doesn't give a f***? Or is it something he decides when the puck drops?

I don't even feel like we played all that badly that period. The Rangers just scored on every chance they got.

Actually, the Pens played pretty ******* badly defensively, because if the Rangers scored on every (prime) chance they got, it would've been 7-1 or 8-1.

Sid sabotaging a game. It happens from time to time with him. With Zucker, it happens regularly, like every single game. Also, all of a sudden two games in a row when our goalies can´t make a save.

Jason Zucker for Dustin Brown!

I'm not sure that I'd do that, but the fact that my immediate reaction wasn't 'what are you, ******* crazy' is pretty telling about Zucker at this point.
