I thought the effort was actually excellent tonight. It's just this team is everything I thought they'd be...

Outmatched in terms of talent on most nights and Sorokin keeping them from losing by 3+ goals those nights.

This team is middle of the pack in terms of goals against, but bottom 10 in terms of goals scored (with more games played than anyone).

Without Sorokin this team would be bottom 5 in the league. If everything went right for this team the ceiling is still so low.

This is an embarrassing post, frankly.

Not as embarrassing as the front office continually trotting this team out night after night without any significant chagnes. Go all in. Sell off UFAs. I don't care, but do something.

We should all be expecting more, and that starts with the people who run this team.

A few good things in this game. But after the first period, it didn't feel like they'd have much of a shot at winning tonight.

It also just didn't feel like they'd score more than maybe one goal.

The Kings looked like they're just rolling on more cylinders at this juncture.

Also need to give credit to the Kings, that's a heck of a team that skates hard and fast. And without Doughty all season too. For the 'ageists' here, Kopitar is 32 points in 28 games at age 37.

Can we at least agree that Lou is old?

I'm pretty old too . . . what's the point? If we had won a Cup 3 years ago, would it matter he was 79?

If you want to criticize philosophy, that's fine. He's not Biden-esque.

Bro is using hall of famers like Kopitar/Crosby as an argument for keeping our old players like… Matt Martin 💀

Where did I do that? I noted that age isn't always the be all and end all . . . did I say to re-sign anyone in that post? Projection, my friend . . .

I’m older than most here so if you want to call my comments ageism then so be it.

Lou is too old to be an effective GM in today’s NHL. He’s proven his ineffectiveness not because he’s old but because his methods don’t work anymore. Sorry if I offended your sensitivities.

I didn't call you out by name, so why that comment?

Sorokin is by far the best Islander. A shame his talents are getting wasted. If they rebuild I wonder if they keep him around for stability behind a young team (which would further waste his talents).
