We’re at the point where if we’re going to lose, which is highly likely, might as well lose in regulation. Enough of these loser points inflating the point total of this garbage team
The time to rebuild was 2 years ago as I knew, now the Isles are screwed as they have to many untradeble contracts and they are all in on this goal of getting an 8th seed so they might as well trade more of our future to achieve this goal

Horvat doesn’t deserve to be benched, he has done everything well but score. I get it he needs to score but you aren’t watching them if anyone thinks Horvat needs to sit.
He’s paid to score, and he’s not doing everything else well. When you’re not scoring as a goal scorer, and then actively cost the team points by screwing up a 2-1 in OT and then playing poor Defense to allow the winning goal, you’re simply not playing well and deserve to be benched.

Yup, wrong guy to single out as frustrating as this goalless streak has been.

Why is this cast of Cizikas, MacLean, Wahlstrom, and Martin still getting regular games???? They are all AWFUL players. And of course our lack of development for forwards in Bridgeport means no help is even on the way

He’s like 60 percent in the circle, he leads the team in assists. He’s not putting puck in net, I don’t dispute that but he has done everything for them. The winning goal was unlucky off his skate, it happens.

Not the wrong guy at all - the bottom six guys are not expected to do much other than not get scored on. Tonight they didn’t - they did their job. Horvat on the other hand does nothing but is paid to do so much more. Holmstrom and Lee looked fine on the top line, Horvat did nothing.

Isles tied for the basement with CBJ. All CBJ needs is at least a loser point and isles have the cellar all to themselves!

And horvat needs a game off, get his mind right.

The bottom 6 all play because we have no one else. Most of our bottom 6 should be in the AHL or the press box like country club Casey

Unfortunately there isn’t anyone else, Engvall cant hold spot and there isn’t really anyone in Ahl that’s going to take spot. Duclair and Barzal will obviously make an enormous difference offensively when they come back and push two guys out of lineup.

If he's smart, and obviously he is not, Lou needs to attempt to trade Lee now. His value will never again be higher than it is at this moment. Of course, that will not happen, Lou, like so many here, he will continue to believe that being a marginal playoff team with zero chance to win a Cup is a laudable goal and well worth continuing to mortgage the future for.

A couple responses but my point was more dress Engvall next game please. Scratch 2 of Cizikas, Maclean, Wahlstrom, Martin. 11 forward 7 D.

Those 4 guys absolutely cannot keep getting game time. But like some reports, this must be a Lou vs Roy thing to keep singling out Engvall. So we have to deal with all that BS too.

There is nobody in league that is trading for Lee now, he scores 30 goals this year and they could move him in off-season but then again if he scores 30 why trade him with an expiring contract in off-season. There isn’t team in league that’s taking his cap hit rest of this year and next year.
