I think at first it’s coaching

These guys, most of whom repeatedly came within a couple of games of reaching the SC finals, suddenly don’t just forget to play hockey

My theory is that the directive was to play prevent defense, which lead to blown leads and now they’re so shellshocked by continuously doing it it’s become a self-fulfilling prophecy because they expect it to happen

A roster that got rewarded with bad contracts, bad coaching, and a GM who tolerated it all

I hope we get a clean slate this summer because I do not see Lou getting fired mid season as a matter of respect. And I don’t want a declining roster to get rewarded with extensions either. Trade for futures
