Time to trade Igor and tear this thing down. I’m so f***ing tired of watching a team get decimated night in night out at the most important facet of the game. I’m tired of watching a team that has no idea how to breakout, no idea how to defend a cycle, no idea how to position themselves inside the offensive zone with the puck. A team that is the worst in the league in terms of puck retrievals. Its horseshit. I’d rather watch a team like Colorado with their goaltending situation any day of the f***ing week than the bullshit the Rangers have thrown out there masquerading as a contending team for a decade.

Get rid of Igor, get rid of Kreider, get rid of Lindgren. Thats a start.
Add in waiving Trouba.

I'm on board with this completely

I’m sure I’m not the only one, but I feel like this is the most detached I’ve ever felt from this team. I’m 39, I saw the dark ages, but this, it’s like now I’m finding better things to do than watch this team and maybe I’ll tune in and see how they’re doing. 10 years ago you couldn’t get me away from the tv when they were on.

I felt similar about the 16-17 team (or maybe it was 15-16?). They got close, they weren't particularly entertaining to watch on a nightly basis, and you just knew they couldn't change the way they played to get over the hump. There were a few players I liked, and few younger guys that you wanted to see how the progressed, but for the most part it was a pretty boring group and change was needed

I truly feel like Trouba won't be here by this time next week, by trade or waived.

If Drury tried & failed to trade him in the summer, then says he & Kreider (among others) are being shopped & He doesn't pull the trigger, what's that message say?

Maybe this is me being "optimistic"

I mean I don’t think they even are trying to get rid of Lavy they have just decided they don’t need to put in the necessary effort to win in the NHL these days
I get it but Drury doesn't want to upset the core is pathetic. He could have waived Trouba like he did with Goodrow before a buyout. His play is hurting the team. Mika he should have been forced to take time off if he is having mental issues. These vets are hurting the team more than helping

Why the hell are you pro-ownership? Regardless of the fact that these guys are severely underpaid when compared to the other 3 major sports; without the players there is no league.

Why the hell would I be pro-player in this situation? In this situation their incentives align a lot more with ours. I don't care about the politics of it which is what it seems like a lot of people care about when being pro-player.

After recent events, anything we do will only fall into the "doing something just to do something" category....thanks to that damn league memo, you would be lucky to get 2 cents on a dollar for anyone....any offers we receive will be way below normal market value -- some probably downright insulting. And there's not much that can be done internally.
Change the system, it's not working.

I’ve been defending Drury for years. He was a disappointment as a player and a disappointment as a GM so far. We have the same birthday so I’ve always wanted to love him, but he needs to sack up and make difficult move or he can start looking for a new job.
I'm starting to think Drury is not very good at his job. If his intention was to just huff and puff and expect better results, it's blowing up in his face and the players are laughing at him. He almost has to to a deal just to show he's not weak and keep whatever credibility he may have left (likely not much) but with all the NTCs/NMCs his options are limited and the players know it.

Neither are Laviolette and Housley, they seriously can't implement a system that suits the players instead of playing a way that works against them?

Drury make some f***ing moves already. Your turkey coma should be over by now, get to work
It does take 2 to tango, and you have to assume no one is knocking down the door for Trouba or Lindgren. So while I have no issue with him trading out Kreider, he does need to make sure he's getting max value for him which may mean holding off for a little while even if it impacts immediate on-ice results (plus of course CK being injured)

Habs trade Arber Xhekaj, Fabian Xhekaj, Jared Davidson, Luke Tuch to Rangers for a Kaapo Kakko, K'Miller and Lindgren

Habs get some snarl on defense and a reclamation project in Kakko.

Rangers get toughness, physical winger, skill and much needed center depth help

If you think Kakko's a reclamation project you haven't watched him this season. Also he's worth more than that package on his own. Let alone adding Miller
