What a game! I didn’t want to miss it, I was debating not even going to my men’s league game because I’m sick. But I played a Jordan flu type game with a goal, assist & a penalty! All while watching the game in between every shift from my phone on the bench lol. Panarin so close to 100!! And Rempe with another great game, who would’ve thought this 6’8 240lb 6th round pick rookie would be the missing piece?

The good
-win ( feels good at the top bitches)
-zibbys shootout goal
- jones played well against a big heavy team. Another solid game for him
- trocheck. This guys efforts/attitude rubs off on everyone.
What a steal of a contract. Amazing UFA signing
- bread gets 2 more well deserved points
-shesty solid
-miller and Schneider were good
- Rempe brought the crowd into the game.
- Kreider had some real solid shifts in this game.

The bad
- didn’t think Gus was particularly great
-Ruh is meh
- going to be tough going in the playoffs against big teams that take away a lot of open ice with large bodies and good stick work

The redden
- I missed Cuylle
- worst/most careless game I saw from rosolvic

Another thing. Panarin should be getting MVP chants from the Garden.

It's a farce if Kucherov wins it. He has Point, Hedman, and Stamkos.

Panarin has Fox and......Laf? Kreider and Zibanejad have been hot ass.
Love Panarin, but to me if MacKinnon doesn't win it's a farce.

This team rolling into the playoffs is really something to watch. One of the best NYR teams I've ever seen and it's still full of potential.

Couple more weeks boys !!!!
Limping with injuries, gutting out wins. Next man up

As been proven time and time again, the Presidents Trophy means absolutely nothing.

Just continue playing good, sound hockey heading into the playoffs and win the games that matter.
I'm like you. Thats not the trophy that is important to me. Going in to the playoffs I see us as a team in the 5-8 ranking. So I really hope we peak at the right time. Health will be important as well. Do we have enough to make a run? It will not be easy. There is a lot of parity going on this season. Not going to be huge gaps between #1 and #8 seeds.

Zac Jones with another assist

Guy absolutely needs to be a full timer next year

Jonesy truthers vindicated at last
I was concerned about Jones earlier this season but his skating is winning me over. Looked good last night. Got shots when rest of the team struggled early on.

I don't care about the trophy itself or the "honor" of being best in league, but having home ice each series is a good thing to have. Just win games and see who's there after everything plays out.

First of all it's COULDN'T care less. Second of all, good for you? You don't want home ice? And if you don't care about it so what? I feel like every time someone brings up the Presidents' Trophy someone always have to comment how much they don't care about it.
Everyone agrees home ice is important. Think his point was the trophy doesn't matter. And I agree with that part. Same with individual trophies. That's more of an ESPN type thing.

I fear only one team in the playoffs. And there's a very good possibility we might face them in the 1st round. I pray we don't face Tampa in the first round. They seem to have our number.
I hear you, but I have to say I want revenge. I wanna end their season like they ended ours TWICE.
I DESPISE that team, I despise their coach, but I would think our players would want a little payback. They "should" have a very large chip in their shoulder, and that might be the edge we need. Also, we are a better team, despite what you said.

How's this for symmetry?

First 23 games: 18-4-1
Last 23 games: 18-4-1

Too bad they were so terrible in December and January or the Presidents' Trophy race would be over.
So that's. 36-8-2
2 months 11-12-2

11-12-2 is pretty good for some teams.
This couldn't have worked out any better.
Started off great and literally solidified a PO spot early
Finishing off great, full steam ahead for PO's.
Those 2 mediocre months were just "filler".

This sussy worthy? Significantly worse than rempes elbow that got 4 games. Clear intent here

Another example of how the NHL is a joke and more irrefutable evidence they intentionally attempt to push certain teams by the calls/non calls they make on the ice.

If they were serious about removing heads hots, they'd punish all head shots. Stop guessing what's going on through another person's head because you can't predict intent. You can only judge the action. And the guy clearly in slow motion high definition swung his body leading with the elbow directly into Gus' head into the boards. With the refs standing right there watching it.

But penalizing and suspending Reinhart doesn't fit the NHL's narrative right now which is push FLA to maintain viability in the region.

I mean.... Reinhart was falling and turning. Seems more accidental than anything. Don't think it's close to suspension worthy.
