The problem with not bringing back Joseph is the hole it creates. His chemistry with Letang was probably good enough to keep Graves sheltered next to St. Ivany.

Dumping him probably puts Graves-Letang back together. Not good.

I don't get any vibe that Koivunen is NHL ready or Ponomarev is ready for a 3C role.

My bet is that Eller stays at 3C, Hayes is either 4C or 4RW and they start with something like:

If they're going to play, I don't really see a spot without moving other guys out. Which was a major point of my past comments about moving expensive contracts out for cap dumps.

I think they’ll re-sign him. He’s young still, will come cheap and he was at times above Graves on the depth chart, especially late. Not much to lose, he’s a 3rd pairing guy at worst.

Agree. We’ve seen what POJ can do here, and it doesn’t move the needle. I’d rather give someone else a look.
