I'm playing a lot of Blue Prince, and I'm not exactly sure why...have played 6.5 IRL hours and am on day 16, hoping it hooks me more soon. I have made it pretty close to the antechamber a few times, even made it to it but didn't have the right levers available. Opened the west path and the apple orchard yesterday.

Finally started clicking with Sifu a bit. Bosses are still quite difficult, especially going for the 'good' ending, but it's fun difficult instead of frustrating difficult now.

It’s REALLY easy to lose interest in the game.

Blue Prince looks super cool but everything I hear about it is that it can feel like such a grind after a few hours where it's just RNG trying to get you the right combinations to solve a puzzle. It seems like a very common complaint so hopefully the devs change the odds of things to make solutions more likely to appear.

I started playing 63 Days which is in the current Fanatical Platinum Bundle. It's by the same dev team as War Mongrels and plays similar to the Mimimi stealth tactics games. They're not quite as good as Mimimi games but they're still a lot of fun and super satisfying. Also got Yellow Taxi Goes Vroom (amongst others) in that same bundle and it is seriously Mario 64 as a taxi. It's pretty fun and really nostalgic.

Still playing through Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, but will be starting this soon

Same guys who are behind the Danganronpa series.
Lots of good reviews with this game.

Id like to play Survivor, but apparently the game is completely broken on PC.
I have the Xbox One version and I did a quick check just to see how the loading times were.. and they're fine thank god. My Hogwarts game for that system is unplayable because of that issue.

Sorry to hear about the PC version. Grr. Wish they'd make things easier.

A lot of Assetto Corsa Competizione since I got into Sim Racing last december.

PUBG with friends.

Some Settlers IV when bored.

Tomb Raider 2 Remastered, Breath of the Wild (cleaning up all shrines but going to wait for the Switch 2 patch now), Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition and Mario Kart on Switch.

Playing Fez for the first time. Can see why it has such acclaim.

Sucks the main developer is allegedly a twat.
I forget the story but is the dev a twat? Maybe I'm misremembering the story but I thought he was making a sequel and he either just lost interest in game development or he got sick of the gaming community always pestering him. I could be way off though.

I actually played Fez for the first time myself like a year or two ago and while interesting, I thought it lost its charm like half way through and started feeling repetitive at that point.

I actually don't know for sure which is why I said allegedly. A lot of comments I'm reading and what I'm being told is that he is. Something about being super vulgar and unreceptive to criticism?

Apparently the same with the Braid developer?

My son likes watching me play Civ V and we play Minecraft on the Switch together, so those have been the main two as of late.

Played a bit of Left 4 Dead for the first time in years to unwind last night. Still the latest shooter series that I cared about. Screw Portal 3 or Half-Life 3, I want me some Left 4 Dead 3, damn it. Get on it, Valve.

Not sure if you're aware but this came out a few years ago and is essentially a L4D follow-up. It's not the greatest game in the world but scratches the itch for new L4D.

Phil Fish (is a guy who calls himself Phil Fish) was just a weirdo, really. I don't know how much of that is genuine and how much is caused or inflamed by the media: Phil Fish - Wikipedia

The Braid guy, (I'm not saying his name in case he still googles himself), is also a weirdo. Then again, he gave us this:

Oh I forgot to add what I thought of Fez - clearly an extremely deep, layered work inspired by nearly endless imagination and creativity, but also absolutely impenetrable. I think I got through two or three sections before I gave up and followed a walkthrough. I think 99% of it would have passed me by otherwise.

If you like Fez you should try a game called Knytt Underground:

I don't actually remember anything about the game except it being large and enjoying the style. And following a guide to get anywhere near it.

Felt like a bit of nostalgia and got the Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy... too much nostalgia and has reminded me why I don't play Crash Bandicoot.
Had the same experience. Gaming has come too far in QoL features to make these older games fun more often than not

Have played about 2.5 hours of the new Doom and am really enjoying it. I dig the shield and melee stuff, even if the shield is so OP/fun that it makes me use my gun less (so far). The flow of this game is perfect and the difficulty (or lack thereof, so far) is great for my 41 year old self.

I know the previous one got great reception but it felt too intense/non-stop for me, I prefer this one.

I've also been playing the small indie game This Means Warp with a buddy, it's a fun little online co-op mashup of Faster than Light and Overcooked.
