Awesomenauts - Steam (pretty addictive 2D MOBA)
Picross games - Switch
Trying to start Trails of Cold Steel III - Switch, but can't get the energy to.

Getting into Subnautica: Below Zero. Not sure about it so far, almost feels like DLC at this point, and if I hadn't played the first one extensively, I feel like I would have no idea what to do.

Settlers 2

You get a like just for this.

I actually kind of felt that it holds your hand a little too much. For example, there's always a location marker on your HUD that you haven't been to and the voice that you soon get in your head is like a tutorial or advisor that you can't turn off for the rest of the game. I really enjoyed the game, but the greater emphasis on story made it feel like a slightly more linear experience.

bought a 360 with a controller and 13 games for $100 from kijiji. Started playing Halo combat evolved. My last console was a ps2 so hi-def gaming is new to me.
I've been thinking of buying a OG Xbox just to play Otogi 1 and 2. It's honestly pretty cheap.
Anybody playing Returnal?
I have to be honest. I kind of hated this game. I'm gonna give it another chance but the rogue-like elements and lack of saving leave you kind of salty.

Anyone here play NHL 2021 Franchise and, if so, can you tell me when players progress during the season? I'm only 12 games in but I thought maybe I'd see the first stat increases when the month changed, that didnt happen. Just want to see if my game bugged out before continuing. None of my players are progressing at all, and I have some solid young players that are playing well.

Everything I google is just complaining about how progression gets messed up by the morale option so I have that turned off. Hoping someone here might be able to answer. Or maybe I can figure out how to do a backup save and sim through the end of the year... it's possible they only progress in the off season I guess, though that would seem weird.

Edit: This is my first crack at a sports game (other than Fifa) since PS3 so I haven't been keeping up with how these things work. In Fifa they progress fairly regularly.

Prospects see attribute increases at 25%, 50%, and 75% of the season. Most of your NHL players you will only see attribute changes at the beginning of the next season because they can depend on statistical output. Depends on the age of the player. Young NHL players will also develop at the same time intervals as the prospects.

The progression page will show you if players' attributes are going up or down because of morale (short term), statistical output (medium term, can go up and down at the begining of each season based on how well they produced), or natural growth (long term, only goes down as a player declines with age).

Preordered Amazon's first game, New World, which granted access to the beta. Played that for a few hours and it's quite a bit of fun. Not going to play it much more before the end of the beta because I don't want to ruin the late game experience, and nothing carries over to the full release, but I'm definitely looking forward to the release.

Thank you very much. I obviously made a player who I was able to grab in the franchise mode. Being a child at heart he's a big old school PWF that's currently 82 overall with Franchise potential. I would have been bummed if he topped out there thanks to a bug haha.

Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings is incredibly impressive graphically. Aside from the hair, the visuals really aren't that far off from Witcher 3.

Now that I've moved on a little bit from the start I see what you're saying. I can definitely tell the emphasis on storyline. When I was going around building my scanner and such I was just wondering how anyone who didn't play the first game would know to build a scanner right away and then start scanning everything.

I lied. I played more. A lot more. I can see myself sinking a ton of time into this full release. Haven’t gone full neckbeard on a game since the release of PUBG, and that was before I had a child. I won’t be going that extreme, but if even one of my friends picks this up I can see many late nights playing after wife and baby are asleep.

Are EA servers split between storefronts? Im playing the Epic Game Store version of Battlefront 2 (it came with a bunch of different skins) and its almost impossible to play a game. Im wondering if they use different servers from the Gamepass/EA play version.

Uncharted 4, good fun and the game is stunning, hard to believe it's five years old.

Yakuza 0, pretty dope and the side stories are great, in chapter 2 so just starting out.

Yeah, I had the same experience at the beginning because I think that certain discoveries trigger tips for things like that. If you don't make the discovery, then you miss the tip and can be slightly lost. I played most of the game without the prawn suit because I missed the discovery that enabled it. I discovered and could build all of the upgrades, the moonpool and the seatruck prawn suit module before I could build the prawn suit, itself.

you gotta give it another chance.

the gameplay is crispy.

they also do a good job of allowing you to get through the earlier sections once you’ve had a few deep runs. New items open up more areas in early game exploration that let you bulk up quicker. You also don’t have to re-fight bosses (but they’re so good that you may want to)

look up some YouTube videos for some tips on how to build

I've been playing Chernobylite since it finally came out of early access, I bought it during the Steam holiday sale and still haven't tried it yet. It's not nearly as much of a shooter as I thought it would be. It's a lot more of a scavenging and base building game than a shooter. There's some people to fight but you should stealth kill all of them. The atmosphere is top notch though. The story is interesting enough so far, I'm about 4-5 hours in. I don't really care much for base building but it's mostly about stats rather than looks so I just kind of buy whatever gives me the best stats and just make a total mess in my base lol.

That being said, if I wasn't such a fan of the Chernobyl setting in games, I don't think I would find this game very enjoyable. I just keep finding myself going back for more because I'm a sucker for all things Chernobyl related. I'm hoping the story ends up being really interesting because gameplay wise, it's just average at best.
