Games Tonight Affecting Sens

It will be excellent to have Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Winnipeg, and Edmonton in the playoffs this year.Honestly don't care too much about who else gets in, good that at least one of them lost tonight. Sens are at the one yard line from making the playoffs in what seems like an eternity and to me that's all that matters. MTL being in will just make more chirping in my neck of wood which I don't mind at all
I hope Calgary and Vancouver can have a final push to get one of them into the playoffs too!
Yeah, this is the year I'd be least upset if the leafs win the Cup, as long as they're beating a US team.

I rather any US team win it over the leafs. Could you imagine being a sens fan in Ottawa getting chirped after a leafs cup win? That might be it for me.
Normally I'd agree, but this year is different... Still, obviously I'd rather see any other Canadian team winning it rather than the leafs.

It's relative. Our schedule is still easier on paper than the red wings and jackets for example.Man, the Bruins really look lifeless out there these days eh?
I seem to remember people saying we had an easy schedule to round out the year, so why does it feel like we're facing all the top teams and direct competitors while the Habs get to beat up on bottom-feeders? Just a random thought, no need to answer it

I don't care if an US team wins the Cup, very little to do with politics for me. There's no context where I would want to see the Habs or Leafs win the Cup before us.
It's really just about jockeying for position now. None of the games really have an impact on whether Sens will make the playoffs or not (aside from the Sens own games). The win against Florida gives us a 10% chance of getting the 3rd Divisional spot. Realistically, we'd have to win 5/6 or 6/6 and have things break our way to get the 3rd Atlantic spot. So, I think this win gives us a better shot at playing the leafs in the first round.
As of 4:19PM (was our game finished by then? the Rangers' game probably was), our Moneypuck odds for making the playoffs was up to 99.6%.
