Games Tonight Affecting Sens

No! If they win both, I think it'd confirm their place in the playoffs. They are already 3-0 vs them this season and 3-0 vs Ottawa. That needs to stop. Why are the Panthers not even able to beat them? If they make the playoffs in the 4th season of their rebuild, we'll never hear the end of it as it took 8 seasons for us.
I still hope they finish 9th and go back to Bergevin level drafting. Stupid Habs

The good thing about their drafting is that they actually go for skill and don’t look for a “certain type of player” or trying to be the smartest people in the room like we do. It’s not that difficult.

This is how they got Lane Hutson.

This how we took Tyler Boucher and Zack Ostapchuk over Wyatt Johnston and Logan Stankovan. Or Gabriel Eliasson over Cole Hutson. We overthunk ourselves into a bottom 2 prospect pool despite being an awful team for 5 years.

I don't disagree with any of that. Which is why I hope Hughes goes full Bergevin by miracle of the hockey gods.

Really sucks to lose 2 OT games 1-0 this season and the 2 scorers are Ovechkin and Crosby lol. But the point still helps. And looking at the last wildcard spot, it will be between Montreal, Rangers, Jackets, Wings and Islanders. No point in score watching all the other teams, maybe the top Atlantic teams for home ice?

Bergevin never really was the problem... their problem was Trevor Timmins and the day he got canned is the day I started worrying about them. Their drafting seems to have shifted the last few years but there's still hope that it doesn't end up as good as it seems. For example, Joshua Roy looked like an excellent prospect 2 years ago but has been trending down recently. The real worry for us (and other Eastern teams) is that Suzuki and Hutson are much better than expected, Caufield and Slafkovsky are also good, and Demidov is coming up. But if guys like Reinbacher, Guhle, Hage, Fowler, etc don't end up as good as expected then they shouldn't become one of the main threats in the division/east. Less direct competition means more opportunity for the Sens and I'd like to be a Top team and not just making the playoffs. That said, all of this is very hard to predict because there's so many moving parts.

I'm really not someone who is fueled by hate but I will very rarely want them to win, only when they are approaching lottery territory for example.
