Games Tonight Affecting Sens

The crazy thing is if we had a bit more luck with injuries throughout the year (Norris/Pinto/Ullmark/Jensen/Zub/Perron/Amadio/Cousins) I’m pretty sure we would be right there with all of these teams.

Especially the games where we missed both Pinto and Norris (and Tkachuk) and other guys those games were automatic losses. Forsberg lost us a few games.

Obviously every team deals with injuries but if we were a bit more healthy we would probably have 88-90 points right now.

We have been one of the top teams in the league since December. We had a bad start at 10-12-1 and we had a really bad February. It says something that we're the only team in the race for those two wild card spots that doesn't have a ridiculous negative goal differential.

Islanders and Blue Jackets have definitely gotten thr worse end of the stick for injuries compared to us. But I think we've had it worse than the Rangers, Habs, and Red Wings.

And there's also the whole #13 situation... hard to root against them

I know I'm a bad person but that is precisely why I am rooting against them.

The reality is Johny Hockey had fallen off hard and was looking like one of the worst contracts in the league.

So many people on this site and others performed over top grief. The vast majority of these people never knew or met JG and a very significant portion didn't care about him at all when alive.

People die every second and many in more tragic circumstances than JG.

If the CBJ make the playoffs we will have to hear about it more - some spirit of "Johny Hockey" bullshit.

The only team I am rooting for them over is the Habs...because f*** the Habs.

I'd like the chance to meet the Leafs in the 1st round rather than the Panthers.
That's a tight race that will keep the top teams in the Atlantic pushing till the end.

Hmmmm the Panthers and Habs facing each other two more times is annoying. I just hope the games end in regulation losses. Would love if MTL wins both and finishes 9th on the conference and hopefully loses out on the final WC spot by something stupid like regulation wins on the last game of the season after losing in a SO.

No! If they win both, I think it'd confirm their place in the playoffs. They are already 3-0 vs them this season and 3-0 vs Ottawa. That needs to stop. Why are the Panthers not even able to beat them? If they make the playoffs in the 4th season of their rebuild, we'll never hear the end of it as it took 8 seasons for us.

The worry is also that they win on the back of Suzuki and Hutson's play. Hutson has 3 more assists today and he is 4th in D-man scoring right now...

Rangers +2 and Jackets only -8

I think it's mostly the empathy for teammates, friends, family... if I'd lost a teammate or friend, I'd play for him too

And yes, them making the playoffs over the Habs is the main goal of rooting for them. We already had to hear about the Leafs and their greatness for years

Because st. Louis system is effectively meant to counter the Panthers and our system.
