Games Tonight Affecting Sens

5 up on the Rags with 2 games in hand. They have a tough schedule coming up, too.

If we beat the Habs, we are 8 up on them.

We could be in 3rd place in the division by the end of play Thursday.

Leafs have Calgary, Avs and Rags

We play Habs in Mtl Tues then Avs at home Thursday.

want to see Mkntreal and their compete levels Rangers both miss by 1 point so we can just speak truth to their fanbase and tell them their teams are soft. Cheering for CLB to make it, their fan deserve it

Man how do the Habs keep winning, they got one good line, a couple good D and their starter goalie is inconsistent af.

Suzuki and Caufield are better than I thought they’d be, Slaf is progressing. Hutson is a mini EK out there and MSL seems to be doing great. He has made Caufield a much better player for example. With how much he overcome himself in his career, he must have quite the impact on young players.

Friggin Laine deciding to use his cheatcode shot

He has 13 PPG in 36 games which really helps but as much as he is a PP specialist at this point, since he started playing on December 3rd, Habs have the 11th best P% in the league (0.619%) and even a +5 differential. Thankfully the Sens have the 6th best record since (0.655%!) but it's annoying to have them breathing down our necks. Ontario Sens fans got their wish on Saturday with the Sens beating the Leafs now it's my turn. I really need that win tomorrow.

They have a -19 goal differential. They are getting lucky as f***.

It's pretty much just due to the beginning of their season, before Laine, Carrier and with Primeau (who was probably the worst goalie in the league this season)

The Habs glazing has got to stop.

There is 32 teams, if you split them in 4 tiers you have the Top-8 teams, then 8 in the next tier, then 8 in the 3rd tier and 8 more in the bottom tier

Toronto is currently at the top of the 2nd tier (9th in P%), Ottawa is in the middle of the 2nd tier (13th in P%) and Montreal is at the top of the 3rd tier (17th in P%)

I understand that Montreal and Toronto are "hated" rivals but in the end, they are just other NHL teams and directly in competition for playoffs spots since they are in the East.

Maybe I'm not as emotionally attached to all this like some but I have no problem making a thread like "Will Auston Matthews reach 800 career goals?" or say that I initially underrated a guy like Suzuki. My fandom doesn't take away my rationality and the constant critic about it is what has got to stop because it's ridiculous. I talk about many teams in the Around NHL thread or this one. I have a post about the Red Wings earlier. Am I also a Wings fan "glazing" them? The teams I would praise the most in the East and rightfully so are the Panthers and Lightning. I'm also impressed by what the Caps have done lately.

The Habs glazing has got to stop.

Someone asked a question and I answered because I think I am informed enough living here through the radio/TV and people in general.

The inferiority complex towards Leafs/Habs is what has to stop.

Don’t think the Habs will make it, not good enough. And tbh I wouldn’t even call the Habs Sens game tomorrow a must win, don’t think they’d be the ones taking Ottawa’s playoff spot, they’d take NYR.

.500 hockey gets us 93 points, which is very likely more than enough. The teams been playing well above .600 hockey the last 3.5 months, are a really well built team, and have improved the team at the deadline. We also have one of the easiest remaining schedules and play a ton of home games in April. Moneypuck has us at a 97.1% chance to make it.
