Yes, but they only had 1 game in hand last night as well. If we could have pulled out a W against the Rags, we would be in 3rd by a point.

This makes it more interesting but the reality is the Senators need to keep winning at a good pace through the end of the year. I think 3rd is doable, for sure, but the Habs aren't going to fall off a cliff at this point - they have too many good players playing well.

Columbus doesn't have enough depth to keep things going IMO, so we may well see that both the Senators and the Habs make it with Boston being the team on the outside looking in.

The positive I'm taking from it is they had to trot out both goalies and will hopefully be more drained from chasing the lead. Will be important to keep them on the back foot
