Tampa plays Montreal tomorrow, so I think we want Tampa to win.

Both outcome are good for us , if Montreal win they still don't pass cause of game in hand .On top of that if we win tomorrow they will need 2 straight win a loss from us to pass us .Tampa is the better tem honestly even if Mtl is really hot right now.

Tomorrow match ups favors us with tampa vs mtl and red wings flyers. All of the out comes will favors us if we keep playing great and get a win vs Rangers.

He probably won’t play, Markstrom will likely be the starter.

Why? Ullmark is better. Gustavsson too I'd say

Sens rocket from 17th to 9th in the TSN power rankings. Logic is that the Sens are now 10th in goal differential.

Weird, I see 14th

3M long term for Paul was a great deal for Tampa

Man I still with we kept Paul and Brown long term

Paul - Greig - Brown or Paul - Pinto - Brown

I disagree. I want a Montreal win. They are no threat to us. They're on an unsustainable run. I'm looking ahead, not behind.

People have been saying that since they won the first 3 games of the stretch, it's been 16 games now. They need to stop winning ASAP. In the article from the last page :

The Montreal Canadiens continue to rise on our list, up two spots from 22nd to 20th. The Habs are coming off a thrilling overtime win against the Rangers on Sunday night. Montreal has the best record in the NHL dating back to December 16th, at 12-3-1. The Canadiens have the best goal differential of any team in that span and are the highest-scoring team in the league as well. Montreal sits just one point behind Columbus for the final playoff spot in the East.

I'd rather see Rangers/Bruins claim the last playoff spot, they're older, slower and lack scoring depth.

They are definitely playing better, but looking at that 16 Dec to present stretch, they are wildly outperforming their underlying metrics. The chances they are creating just aren't sufficient to expect that league leading 3.4 GF/60 at 5v5 to continue (no team is going to keep up that pace), but even if/when it does come back down to earth, they are playing like a playoff team so I wouldn't expect them to fall out of the playoff race unless they lose confidence and stop playing the way they have been.

Yeah, I had a post several days ago where I checked and saw that their GF% was vastly outplaying their xGF%, as they had the 3rd best PDO in the league during that stretch. We need them to come back to earth but other GMs GIFTING them players like Alexandre Carrier and Patrik Laine really didn't help. It's basically since these 2 are in their line up that they have been doing well. So frustrating to see when our ex GM basically lost us every single trade he made.
