I'm not saying it shouldn't count, but that was not the right call based on the explanation. The net was clearly off before the puck entered the net.
Yeah. Seemed pretty clear that puck doesn't go in if the net isn't lifted. If that's indeed what determines if it's good or not, then how can it be allowed. I was expecting they'd call it off and give a delay of game.

The only Blue Jackets players I know are Johnny Hockey & Boone Jenner.

The rest are a bunch of cannonballs to me.

It's like the rule that says if you trip a guy that's about to shoot on an empty net, it can be called a goal. He lifts the goal or else it hits the pipe - but he caused it so it counts.

I think that's the right call.

Calling it like this makes total sense. Now it would be nice if they'd use their explanation to actually explain it, haha.
