Hyman has excellent chemistry with JT. The best JT we've seen this year is with Hyman at his side.

When Foligno enters the lineup, Keefe said he wants to try him with the big boys - so if Foligno works out good with 34 and 16, our lineup just got a lot more dangerous.

One of the best moments of my life.

We have the Bat Flip and now we have

The Puck Flip too

Love it

I'm 6'4 and like 225 pounds and would love to go out there and try to hit people. I'm not jacked at all but would at least try lol. I don't get how these guys don't engage at all.

I would be a goon put the fear of god into the other team Scott Stevens style. I miss seeing players like Tie Domi, Ken Baumgartner, Wade Belak, Darcy Tucker, Bryan McCabe. This is a necessary part of hockey and goes a long way into motivating your team, momentum swings, and winning playoff games.

This is entirely irrelevant in the playoffs, there are no fights. And the Leafs have more than enough grit now. They can play any way they want now.

Even though it's a back to back, I hope we can expect a much better effort tonight in front of Rittich.

Heck you look at another player with a scowl and you are gonna get a 10 game suspension. Hockey , like many other things in North America has been wimpified. You try the stuff they did back in the 90's, the hacking, the holding, the slashing, the interference, most players today would curl up into a fetal ball and cry.... Bettman would have you on the 1st plane to Siberia.

Hockey is a more pretty game, where they want the entertainment value to come from the stars, not the knuckle draggers / sideshow Bobs.

Malholtra needs to go. This shouldn't be this hard with our talent. Load up 5 forwards, cant be worse than what is currently happening.
PP1
Hyman
Spezza Tavares Matthews
Marner
PP2
Simmonds
Nylander Galchenyuk Robertson
Muzz

Not quite the same but that crazy bouncing ball on the rim for the win by Leonard is something etched in my mind forever. And I’m just a casual Raptors fan.

OGs too, but they didnt go on to win the series/championship so it wont be as remembered.

Is Malholtra in charge of the PK as well?

It's the second half of a back-to-back and the perfect time to "rest" Jumbo :wally:

I wonder if Keefe puts him in the lineup right away without couple full practice with the team first. My guess is he'll probably draw in the last game of the 3-game series vs. Jets.

I see what you're saying but I'd think they throw him in right away. That's a big 3 games. I guess we'll see when the Leafs get there.

:hyper: Thanks Ginger Papa.

Would be interested to see Rittich against his old team right off the plane. Did he depart through a different door off the plane? Did he take the Leafs private jet? What did he eat on the plane, was there a movie? All important questions.
That would be so funny, Flames board a plane on runway 1, Rittich boards a private jet on runway 2 and they both leave at the same time.

They will put him in right away, they are going to test his mental toughness, is this a guy that we can rely on , or is it a guy who crumbles under perceived pressure.

Meh, under normal circumstances he would have been in the lineup tonight. Practice is overrated.

I think they'll be able to rely on him. That's one of the big things about him. He was the captain in Columbus. He won't put up a lot of points but he'll be kind of a Swiss army knife like Hyman. I'm not sure about his scoring touch to be honest but I don't think that's why they got him anyway. They want playoff type guys. He fits that mold.

He could probably skip practices but they don't want to see him looking lost out there.

He can review videos/plays to learn Keefe's system, hit the gym, skate individually while in quarantine I suppose.
