Karlsson good.

That's about all I got. Letang had a rough night. POJ-Ruh was awful. The bottom-6 still ain't gonna score for shit. DOC needs to f***ing do something or Dubas can ship him out for a $25 gift card. Sid and Geno had good and bad shifts.

Ah well. On to the next one.

That bottom six is horrific. And POJ and Ruh were combined -5. Top six and top four looked good. EK65 is a machine. Need secondary help though.

+++EK
++ Malkin line
- - - Bottom pair

Frustrating because they can’t put a 60 minute game together- but we can see what they look like when they flip the switch.

Exactly the reason you want them to be good… you know there’s some potential to be nasty in the playoffs because they can turn it on and play urgent.

Can’t go four games with 1 total point (an assist) from all bottom 6 players. No goals.

The NHL is literally the only league where the TV broadcast has conclusive evidence a call should be overturned but the refs don't.

In football, the refs see views you don't get on tv, in the NHL, they show you the call should be overturned and then the refs let it stand when even Stevie Wonder can see the call is wrong.

To be honest, I have a hard time remembering POJ ever playing particularly well.
When he 1st came up a couple years back he actually looked really good, but after that initial rush he has been bleh. Save a game here or there.

Crazy amount of parity in this league. That combined with aging core is gonna make this an interesting season.

I’m just enjoying watching EK. This team would have been hilarious to watch if he was here when we were still contending.

I said in gdt but it's comical how much better EK is compared to Letang
It’s something isn’t it? The local media has fellated Letang forever. He’s not even in the same stratosphere as Karlsson. For as stubborn as Sully can be, I was glad to see him at least rely on Karlsson tonight. Had almost 28 minutes TOI. Letang only 24.

EK is great but unfortunately doesn’t move the needle enough to get us into contention…we’re too old and slow and it’s only going to worse as the season progresses…this game was not a good sign anything has changed from last season, Ut I will try enjoying watching the core and EK

The positive is that Dubas seems to know the bottom 6 is dog poo based on his 1st intermission interview where he said he has to take the blame for it.

The negative is we have 0 cap space and approximately 2 and a half assets of any value to trade

I thought they were going to mount a come back. They were feeling it in the 3rd.

Husso was good in net. Really good. Problem is, DRW pounced on Jarry all night. We could only muster a couple jabs with the top 6.

We may be able to beat the non-playoff teams like Washington and Calgary but when it comes time to play legit teams, we are getting outskated and, more importantly, ...outsmarted often.
