I think this is generally how the team is going to be looking, just inconsistent from both game to game and also period to period. With that being said, the depth guys clearly have the role of "don't lose us games" and the 3rd pair was horrendous today.

This team is just going to have off-games due to their age, but these depth guys should be sitting in the pressbox if they blow the game. Both POJ and Ruhwedel were on the ice for 3 goals against today and both were terrible. There is zero excuse to be on the ice for 3 goals against in less than 12 minutes of ice time. If the guys on the bottom pair can't handle that, they shouldn't be playing.

The depth players on this team explicitly have a role of "don't lose us games". If they start losing the team games, they shouldn't be playing.

So the Wings got two goals they shouldn't have and Husso vastly outplayed Jarry again. I would say the Penguins doubled high danger scoring chances without looking at a stat sheet, but there can be no silver lining in losing that game. Clearly better, just get let down where you always get let down, bad bottom six, bad goaltending, coaching, and Chad Ruhwedel.

It's time to let this bottom six go and bring up the other dudes.
