I'm glad Colorado gets to play a champion this early in the season.

Calgary will show them what real depth looks like.

A lot to like from last game, hopefully they can build on that and the bottom three lines can continue to gain chemistry.

Makar looked rusty bit more so physically than mentally, read the play well all night just bobbled too many passes. Byram has room for improvement for sure, would love to see him be greedier and shoot more. Toews looked great and the rest of the d were decent.

Them and the star forwards are gonna carry this team for a bit while the role players find their fit/chemistry although cogs looked great last night imo. Hard to get a read on how Georgie will fit as he didn’t see any action to speak of.

Won't be around for tonight's game, so wishing best of luck to the boys. Go have some fun!

Sucks to have a scheduled loss as your 2nd game of the season, but the Avs were remarkably good in these situations last year. I'll be happy with a point and thrilled with 2. Not expecting much given the circumstances...except for an inevitable Naz hatty

It's fine. If the Avs win then we talk about how great and resilient they are. If they lose then we use the B2B and Landeskog being out as the reasoning.

Naz will have a goal and an apple but we will score 12 times so it’s ok.

I'm VERY curious to see how Kadri will perform this year.

At this time of the year last year, Kadri was a meh 2nd line center, on the wrong end of the age curve, already on the decline at 31 and one bone headed hit away from being suspended.

One year later, at 32 with an amazing career year behind him, a fat contract in his back pocket and a Stanley Cup ring on his finger, he is in large part the reason why many evaluate the Flames Center Depth as somewhere between the best in the league and Top 5ish.

So, it will be pretty interesting to see how that movie unfolds...starting tonight!
