This is one of those games that dumps a whole bucket of cold water on this season, because it's just a reminder that no matter how things are going, this team does not respond well to playoff physicality. So many stupid f***ing plays all night long, even with a good goalie in net we probably lose this one.

Lmao Tripp just keeps blaming that goal on too many men instead of Martin making a save that is suppose to be stopped in the nhl. We win that game with average goaltending or at least get a point. 3 goals had no business going in

I wouldn't draw much conclusions since goaltending is what it is. Third period sucked, yes.

I don't give a f*** about the top many men on the goal, Tripp. The team played the exact level of mental softness that has been our complete undoing in the playoffs every year under Brindy and it happened again in what we called a benchmark game against the defending champs.

Svech being unable to respond physically is becoming a big f***ing problem for this franchise. We need him to use his size to punish opponents, it's why we aren't investing in those kind of players elsewhere. If he's going to be this soft, we must explore trade options, because he's not going to be the player we need of him to win.

Bob didn’t exactly have his A game but he made the saves that were suppose to be made. Wrist shots from inside the blue line with no screen don’t go in on nhl goalies

Martin must have some incrimination photos of Tripp. He has been a huge Martin apologist all game.

No one is talking about your fake excuses for why Martin didn’t make a save an NHL goaltender should have.
He is our 3rd goalie for a reason.

But at the same time now that Freddie is out, he's our regular backup if not starter, and that cannot happen for a legit contender. We either fix it or we aren't trying to to win the Cup this year. Which, in the grand scheme might be the right play.

The real question is: Who do you start tomorrow? Both options are very questionable.

I think you've got to go with Perets and hope for a rookie miracle

I’ve always liked Vejmelka and thought he would be a good fit here for a reasonable cost (ie Freddie’s money).

And I’m not just talking about his crazy numbers against us. He’s legitimately good.

6 attackers both are brutal. Sign Tokarski bring him up. Call David Ayres maybe? Jorge Alves? Anyone but Martin or Perets. Perets is Echl caliber not even ahl

They're still focused on the TMM on the postgame

Just shut up about it. It was a terrible goal to give up, and if there were too many men it wasnt clear and wasn't enough to complain about. The focus on it just makes it more obvious they have very little to say well about the Canes tonight.

I mentioned it before, but I think Vejmelka is a goalie that thrives on keeping busy. He needs to face 35-40 shots a game to be good. Carolina does the opposite. Low shot count, but high quality. Not sure he'd be a good fit here

What's wild is Wednesday against the Rags was playoff intensity as well and in terms of play we ran them out of the f***ing building. We didn't respond the same tonight at all. We need SOMEONE that will absolutely crush some fools but said someone is still in Russia until likely May.

Could we put the line 2 back together that was working..KK’s paid his penance.

Svech doesn’t seem to have a great home at the moment, unfortunately.

One of the things that bothers me is how KK is given zero rope from RBA. One bad game (against Columbus) and he's demoted to the 4th. Meanwhile, Roslovic has turned it over leading to goals against Jersey, Dallas, Rangers and lost the board battle for the first goal against today. No change in his spot
