Martin is trash and Burns is probably at replacement level right now. That's pretty much the difference in this game.

I said it earlier this month and will reiterate... If there is a way to keep Orlov after Nikishin comes over, do it. We need to be moving on from Burns
First bad game burns has had that I can remember this year. He has been good.

Canes FO % crap today at 36. Cats only 47% for the year so that’s worse.

There is no real problem right now. Hard to maintain a torrid pace and we have had injuries. I’d rather finish hot than try to maintain hot all season. I thought we might be fighting for a playoff spot in the summer.

All is well.

I agree. But I am worried about our goalie situation long term with all the injuries. This individual game I could care less about.

Well our starter is injury prone and our 1A is starting to feel the same. It’s probably an off season issue and a little philosophy change on getting the best deal possible all the time. Which probably isn’t happening. Even if we picked someone up it would most likely be someone closer to Martin than to a starter.

Yeah, I don’t think we’re solving a two-week problem in November with a multi-year solution like a Gibson.

Kochetkov is a guy for the future. We’ll replace Freddie with someone in the offseason. For this year, it’s about the playoffs, and as encouraging as this start has been, it’s ok to just stay near the front of the peloton until April. Don’t need to make a drastic change to ensure we don’t lose to Florida in late November.
