Haven't listened to a Kings radio feed since being dissed as "ADifferentTeam." Either way, it's nice to know I'm above turning Los Angeles into Philadelphia's multi-sport farm team/cap dumping grounds.

Let's just say I'm old enough to remember when Comcast used to own the 76ers NBA franchise, before the 2003 NHL Draft. That is all.

Speaking for myself, just recovering. Autumn. Ugh.

Addendum: Penalty, Dwight King.

Seriously, if the Kings are gonna tank, then tank!

Well, with that longevity, it's always awesome to have you onboard, bub.

I'm for tanking, too. But it won't happen with DL and the core we have. It just won't, dude. That's what happens when you build a roster that gets you 2 cups in 3 years :(
 
Doesn't look like the usual intimidating Hawks team. Unfortunately, Kings have probably shot themselves in the foot energy-wise with the penalties.

This isn't the usual intimidating Kings team, tonight. We are giving up all the ice to these ****s. You called it before the game.

At least last night, we pulverized the Blues and controlled the flow. Hawks are eating our lunch, Hook.
 
Just another typical lopsided period of calls by the refs. You can hook Kopitar, but don't you dare hook Kane.

High-sticking is high sticking, but otherwise, 2-0 on the calls.

Way better puck movement by the Hawks, but what do you expect, Darryl ends up changing the top 6 again and they are relearning Chemistry yet again. Better yet, let's not have a practice with the new lines, let's just go out there and see how it goes.

At least Brown is finishing checks. None of the other Kings are getting to the point where they can check anyone.

At least Budaj has looked fairly sharp. He is rounding into form nicely.

Surprised they are only down 1-0. A lucky goal can tie it.

It's wise for Mr. Lombardi to NOT emulate the late George Steinbrenner's penchant for trading away prospects for vets with short-term viability. Already bit him and the team thrice already! Sekera, Lucic, and Schenn, for starters. Three consecutive decisions in a row! :facepalm:
 
Bad 1st period and only down by 1? Hawks aren't showing me much. Time to stay out of the box and put a couple in the net.
 
Nothing offensively, too many penalties because the Hawks have the puck, and too many chances against in the middle of the ice. They can either only play better, or they're tired and might as well get on the plane now.

I wholeheartedly agree, Tim. I think Mr. Lombardi sees it our way, too, brother. Keep the picks, let's see the genius rebuild this ship. It may be painful for a season or two, but it won't be longer than that. Dean is elite, Tim. And elite GM's keep their teams competitive more often than not (and I'm not saying one and done-type "competitiveness"). He'll have us as players in a year or two.

Steinbrenner was able to live off of a no salary cap era, no luxury cap era of MLB. And Paul O'Neal beating the **** out of water coolers in the dugout :)

well it hasn't happened the first 1000 or so , so i won't hold my breath All i can hope for is next year and him leaving as a ufa or to vegas but with my luck he ll resign a lifetime contract

The announcers voice still hasn't gotten through puberty (or childhood really)... The exact opposite of a guy like Forslund or G. Miller who have a proper manly (yet clean) voice.
I hate Edzo. He's annoying and boring and most of all, he has his nose up Kanes but... Unbearable dumbness... Stop right there boys (while explaining the least skilled play of the period), YAWN
