GDT: Game 9: Columbus @ Colorado, 9 PM EST

Those D pairings are interesting. My gut tells me that Boqvist skating with Harrington means Boqvist may be close to returning and isn't dressing tonight, most likely. IMO Harrington has been worst of the group this season and I doubt they are scratching Peeke or Carlsson to play him. Those 2 have been ok so far and should play over Harrington I believe.

Absolutely amazing that JMFJ is still in the league, I think he he the worst career +/- since he joined the league

Wait, is Boqvist a healthy scratch ? Kinda hoped he’d be in
he was injured, probably not ready. it was expected. probably in next game.

also bayreuther > harrington.

Hmmm...

I'm curious to see Sillinger in front of the net. He has the skillset to score goals from there, it's the rest of the job that we'll see about.

The middle line I don't get. Roslovic was our best PP player last year, and he did it from the bumper spot. Why are we putting him everywhere but where he is best? Same with Chinakhov. We're not using his one-timer here.

This is what I'd try:

--------- Sillinger
Laine - Roslovic - Chinakhov
--------- Bean

Yes, give Laine the whole 2 minutes on the PP. He's not tired from standing there for a minute.

I`m suprised too. But as you see it isn`t so easy to move Gus out.

Sigh…Elvis is the #1 guy so he needs to be getting the bulk of the starts. The tandem goalie thing didn’t work last year, I hate that Larson is continuing with it.

Maybe Elvis is dinged and they are giving him the week off because of the light workload.

Watching TSN last night they brought up Elvis calling his guys back to get Shesterkin his shutout. They didn't much care for it, and honestly I didn't like it either. You just got embarrassed, the least you can do is still try to break up the shutout. You can respect the other team after the game, not during it.

Remember its a condensed schedule because of the Olympics this year so Korpi will play more this season than in a normal season. Plus it looks like more people may be back Saturday for the Avs, so may as well give the No. 1 a break when a not as strong line up is playing.

Yes, down 4-0, the Jackets should have tried for one more rush for a goal with 9 seconds left or whatever.

That's not the point. Its not a bashing Elvis thing, they were talking about if they were playing and their goalie did that, would they be ok with it. They didn't like it, the one guy went a little overboard saying he would have shot the puck at his own goalie, that's a little too much. Some people play to the horn no matter the score, it's a pride thing. Kind of like how Don Beebe ran down Leon Lett even though the Bills were getting blown out. You play hard until the end, or the whistle. It's a good habit to have.

Do NFL teams throw a hail mary with 10 seconds left in the game up 3 touchdowns or take a knee? Do NBA players throw up 3's at the buzzer up 20 points or run out the clock? Sometimes you tip your cap, take the L and move on. Its not a playoff series.
People around the NHL are bothered by the weirdest shit
