With the season Petry is currently having it's nice to not have to worry about his upcoming contract and if he would re-sign or not. Good job on getting that very nice contract extension done early MB.

By far best Bergevin trade in 9 years and by far the best extension given by him for the same player in question.

I haven't watched the second period, but I agree. Mete had a decent game. He also saved a goal when Carey bobbled the pass.

Unfortunately, he's now the next victim of the "Romanov rose-colored glasses" which make everyone else responsible whenever something bad happens with #27 on the ice.

Mete didn't look very good tonight. I hope he gets another game to show what he can do, but at this point, he just doesn't bring anything elite and his size is a detriment for the overall game that Montreal defensemen play.

It's too bad. He is quality depth, but at his age and where he is in his career, I can understand him not wanting to sit. His career is on the line. I hope he can be accomodated quickly enough. Hopefully for another defenseman who won't mind sitting/being sent to the taxi squad.

He didn't look good in the playoffs either last year. Like the guy but I dunno ... we're not as desperate for D-men as we once were. I think he lost his spot

Lekhs is such a worker bee. Where he lacks in talent (pretty much everywhere) he makes up in effort. As long as opponents cannot score when he is on the ice he is doing his job.
