What they don't realize is you CAN build a power play around one play, but you need other options.

"Fishing to set up one guy for a one timer" is a very proven strategy that has worked. Tampa for example last year ran a very similar setup with Stamkos and torched the league with it.

The problem is, while that was option A, the Lightning also had options. Kucherov down low, Hedman and Point on the uh...point. Boston does not have the same luxury.
